Stats from the Blackhawk Ladies VB yesterday. The ladies brought home a Victory in three games with scored of 25-11, 25-8 and 25-7
Kenlie Fridley and Bailey Feistner each had 3 aces. Kenna Ochsner brought home 13 kills followed by Kailynn Eggleston with 12.
Kenlie Fridley is back on the stats board in kills with 13 and Kailynn Eggleston with 12. Kenlie Fridley roped in 15 assists to pad the books and Bailey Feistner had 9.

Football practice will be in Woonsocket from 4-6pm. Trey Weber is planning one last get together for the JH FB team. The plan is to have a today as a movie day in Woonsocket while varsity is practicing. The JH players will be bussed over to Woonsocket just as if it was a normal practice.
Dig Pink Order forms are going out to El students today. They will also be located in the office for MS and HS to pick up. They are due back TODAY!

Jeslynn Moody is hosting Dig Pink Night on October 18th as her Senior Project. 🎗🎗.
All proceeds from the event will go to Sanborn County families to help cover medical expenses. If you are willing to donate a silent auction item please message me or drop off items with Luci at the Woonsocket School.
The food pantry giveaway will take place on Wednesday, October 5th at 4:30 until gone. This is drive through only. October food pantry information.
Elementary health screenings will take place on Thursday, October 27th. High School screening on October 31st and Colony screenings on October 25th. Here is a breakdown of what grades are included for this year.
Vision Screening for students in grades K, 1, 3, 5,7,8,10
Hearing Screening for students in grades K, 5,10
Physical Assessments for students in Grades K, 5 (Height and weight checks on K-8)
Scoliosis Screening for girls in grades 5,7
Scoliosis Screening for boys in Grades 8
Forms were sent home with back to school paperwork but height and weight checks permission is a new addition.

The county nurse Lacy Eaton will be available on October 21st from 4-7:30 to administer flu vaccinations in the Ag room. This service is in conjunction with the home Volleyball game at SC. An insurance or Medicaid card will need to be presented. Unfortunately, Medicare is not accepted. No appointments are necessary. “It is recommended for individuals over the age of 65 to receive the high dose flu vaccine which is not available at the flu clinic”
The cash price onsite is $46 if no insurance/medicaid
A parent meeting will take place at 7PM on October 19th (on-line) for interested HS (current 9-10) and MS students (current 7-8) to discuss a 4-day trip to New York City for the summer of 2024. Information will be handed out on October 10th. More information to follow as we get closer to the date.

A CC meet in Parkston has been added to the schedule on Thursday, OCT. 6th @ 4:15. Race order is jv girls, jv boys, varsity girls, varsity boys

The region Meet for CC has been changed to Vermillion on Thursday, October 13th
Cami Edwards, Aubrey Moody, Payton Uecker, Evan Easton, Tori Hoffman, Grant Edwards, Parker Ettswold, Hudson Fouberg, Miley Adams, and Temperance Salathe.
The bus will leave Sanborn Central at 6:25 am and Woonsocket at 6:40 am and will be returning at approximately 5:00 pm. Students should bring music folders, water bottles, and money for lunch.

ACT Math Test Prep Sessions: Katie Jackson from Wessington Springs has extended the invite to our students to participate in ACT math test prep sessions. The cost is $250 for 6 sessions. Join the #4hweek fun! We are celebrating 4H members and their accomplishments this week and all year long. 4-H is a place for ALL kids to belong and succeed. National 4H week is celebrated October 3-8, 2022. We are asking everyone to wear green or a 4H shirt to celebrate #4hweek on Thursday 10/6/2022. Each classroom will get a visit from some local 4h members and a special treat. There is something for everyone in 4H. From shooting sports, horse, livestock showing, dog show, fashion review, special foods, public presentations, photography and indoor exhibits just to name a few. Honestly your options are endless with 4H.
