Reminder to all parents and students. This Friday is Extra Help Day. If your student has any missing work or has an "F" in any class, they are required to be here from 8-11. Calls will be make on Thursday, October 6th and a missing assignment report will go to parent e-mails on Wednesday.

The county nurse Lacy Eaton will be available on October 21st from 4-7:30 to administer flu vaccinations in the Ag room. This service is in conjunction with the home Volleyball game at SC. An insurance or Medicaid card will need to be presented. Unfortunately, Medicare is not accepted. No appointments are necessary. “It is recommended for individuals over the age of 65 to receive the high dose flu vaccine which is not available at the flu clinic”
The cash price onsite is $46 if no insurance/medicaid
A parent meeting will take place at 7PM on October 19th (on-line) for interested HS (current 9-10) and MS students (current 7-8) to discuss a 4-day trip to New York City for the summer of 2024. Information will be handed out on October 10th. More information to follow as we get closer to the date.

Wednesday 10/5 practice in Woonsocket 4-6pm
Trey Weber is planning one last get together for the JH FB team. The plan is to have a Wednesday movie day in Woonsocket while varsity is practicing. The JH players will be bussed over to Woonsocket just as if it was a normal practice.
Thursday 10/6 practice in Woonsocket 4-630pm
Friday 10/7 the JV game will be in Miller at 4:30PM. Leave time for Friday JV football to Miller is 2:15 pm from Woonsocket. Varsity practice in Woonsocket 4-615pm
This Friday there will not be JH VB practice, but the HS will practice at 2:30 in Woonsocket.
A CC meet in Parkston has been added to the schedule on Thursday, OCT. 6th @ 4:15. Race order is jv girls, jv boys, varsity girls, varsity boys
Leave time from Woonsocket is 2:00, pickup Sanborn at 2:15
The region Meet for CC has been changed to Vermillion on Thursday, October 13th
Cami Edwards, Aubrey Moody, Payton Uecker, Evan Easton, Tori Hoffman, Grant Edwards, Parker Ettswold, Hudson Fouberg, Miley Adams, and Temperance Salathe.
The bus will leave Sanborn Central at 6:25 am and Woonsocket at 6:40 am and will be returning at approximately 5:00 pm. Students should bring music folders, water bottles, and money for lunch.

ACT Math Test Prep Sessions: Katie Jackson from Wessington Springs has extended the invite to our students to participate in ACT math test prep sessions. The cost is $250 for 6 sessions. Join the #4hweek fun! We are celebrating 4H members and their accomplishments this week and all year long. 4-H is a place for ALL kids to belong and succeed. National 4H week is celebrated October 3-8, 2022. We are asking everyone to wear green or a 4H shirt to celebrate #4hweek on Thursday 10/6/2022. Each classroom will get a visit from some local 4h members and a special treat. There is something for everyone in 4H. From shooting sports, horse, livestock showing, dog show, fashion review, special foods, public presentations, photography and indoor exhibits just to name a few. Honestly your options are endless with 4H.
