Happy Birthday July 29th Chloe Degen!  Sunday, May1st, Morgan Hoffman will celebrate her birthday.

There will be a short boys basketball meeting at 11:30 today in the MS Lab for next year’s boys in grades 7-12.

All track meets have been cancelled for today.

No Soccer games or practice today!

Good Luck to our JH Rodeo contestants – Mason Moody, Teya Moody, Tryce Slykhuis, Tater Moody, and Cayden Slykhuis as they participate in their 2nd regional rodeo this weekend in Huron.  Check out the results from last weeks in Rapid!

ACADEMCIS
We are trying something new in campus today – automatic notification of missing assignments.  Hopefully the gremlins stay away and campus will generate an e-mail to the parents of students with missing assignments.  It would be nice to get some parent feedback on how this works on your end.   If you have any problems or questions, feel free to contact Mary at mary.ackman@k12.sd.us

Mr. Gross will be putting on an informational night for parents about Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAEs).  This informational night will cover the following:
          What is an SAE
          The types of SAEs (Entrepreneurship, Placement, or Agribusiness)
          The expectations of SC/W FFA members as related to SAEs (during the school year and the summer)
          How to access the record keeping system the FFA uses (www.theaet.com)
          How to enter basic SAE records
          FFA awards from SAE projects (proficiency awards, SD FFA Star awards)

April 25-29 has been designated as Severe Weather Awareness Week in South Dakota. Good Luck to the JH track team as they travel to Howard today.  The bus will leave here at 12:30 with Katie, Samantha, Cassidy, and Aiden.

ACADEMICS
The MS Updates for next week have been uploaded to our Google Drive.

Mrs. Miller adjusted April tutoring dates due to the Spring Concert –no tutoring April 26th – MS/HS tutoring on April 28th.

Friday, April 29th is our extra help day.  We will run missing assignment reports for students from Campus the morning of Wednesday, April 27th.  We will re-run the campus list Thursday, April 28th, and begin calling parents at 1:00.  If you are failing a class or have missing assignments you will need to be here at 8:00 am the morning of the 29th.  Students - be sure to check out your portal and get a head start on any missing assignments.  Teachers be sure to use the missing and turned in options in your grade book so the portal is correct.  Thank you!

Awards night is quickly approaching – May 9th.  Seniors will bring Desserts, Juniors Salads, Sophomores Main Dish, Freshman Main dish, 8th grade Salads, 7th grade Desserts, and 6th grade Main Dishes.  Staff may bring a salad or dessert.

ATHLETICS
The soccer games that were cancelled on Monday night are rescheduling in Woonsocket for Thurs, April 28 for the U10 and U12 teams.  U10 will play at 5:30 and 6:30.  U12 will play at 7:30.  U10 please be to the field at 5:15.  U12 please be there at 7:00. 

The gym is closed April 27 thru May 1st (all day & day night) for bleacher removal and installation.

Football players in grades 6-8 – Saturday, April 23rd Blackhawk Jacob Fouberg will be hosting a football camp at Woonsocket as part of his senior project.  The only cost would be your lunch!
