Baseball practices today in Springs.  After a busy, successful weekend for the Blackhawks baseball action will continue all week. The varsity team will play Tuesday night at 7 and Thursday night at 6:30. Both games will be in Wessington Springs. On Saturday both teams will be in action. The varsity will play at 2 and the JV will follow. I will let you know the location of the Saturday games as we finalize it.

HS track has joint practice at Woony today.      

The FFA Banquet is at 6:00 tonight in Woonsocket.  Enjoy the evening and make memories!  Meal Assignments: Freshmen – Main Course; Sophomores – Main Course; Juniors – Side/Dessert; Seniors – Side/Dessert     Please remember to bring serving utensils for your dish.

U6-U8-U10 soccer players need to be at the Woonsocket Football Field at 5:00 today.  U12 will need to be there at 6:30.  Yes, this is different than the schedule shows!

Orange Day – No tutoring!!!!
Spring Concert Tonight at 7:00pm – can’t wait to enjoy it!
Celebrating birthdays tomorrow are Brooklyn Larson, Jason Larson, Jason Moran, and Cooper Goldammer.  Sunday is Carlee Spelbring’s birthday.

We want to wish Teya Moody, Mason Moody, Tryce Slykhuis, and Trey Moody lots of success in their first JH Regional Rodeo in Rapid City this weekend!

Shoot for the stars at the State Shooting Sports Competition in Pierre this weekend.  It is our understanding that many of our students have qualified!

Friday, April 27th is extra help day.  Missing assignment lists will be given to students on Wednesday afternoon (post by noon please).  Thursday parents will be called after 1:00 to let them know if a student needs to attend extra help day from 8:00-11:00.  Get that work turned in – preferably on time!!!!!

ATHLETICS

FOTTBALL PLAYERS: Football Camps this summer:
   June 19 – HS team camp @ Madison – leave approximately 7:15 am and return by mid-afternoon
  June 28-29 – HS team camp @ DWU – leave approximately 7:30 am each morning and return at about 4:00 pm each day
  July 15 – HS non-contact camp at Huron (helmets only) – 6:00 pm – some indy work and then 7 on 7 and lineman challenges
  July 25-26 – our own 7-12 camp at Woonsocket (helmets only) – 9:00 am – 11:00 am

We encourage players to attend camps but understand the busy schedules. The main thing in the summer is to get into the weight room 4 times a week and get workouts completed. Be prepared for upcoming season.
    High School practice begins on Monday, August 6 at Woonsocket. I will send out a complete practice schedule within next month.
    7th/8th grade will begin practice on Thursday, August 9 or Monday, August 13 (depending on first game)

Blue Day
A big thank you to Mrs. Effling and Mrs. Miller for stepping in and helping yesterday in so many places!

Rumor has it that theatre staff was very impressed with the behavior and politeness of our elementary students yesterday.  Way to make us Rebel Proud!

Letcher Confirmation Students will be taking their test on Wednesday, April 25th and then join the King’s Kids for an end of year celebration.  Arrangements have been made for Judy’s bus to deliver her normal riders to the church.  Pastor Garry will be here in the white van to pick up those who normally ride with him.  Notes explaining this were placed on your locker.

We will be attending the junior high track meet on Thursday, April 26 at Bridgewater. The meet starts at 1:30.  We will leave Sanborn Central at noon and Woonsocket at 11:45.  Sanborn Central will need to leave the meet around 5:00 in order to get back for our spring concert.  Attending will be: Dana S, Shania C, Brooklyn J, Averie J, Dayton E, Sidney S, Casady D, Leighton T, Tryce S, Noah W, Brady L, Toby K, Michael H, Attley T  CANCELLED
