Brighten Hitchcock won the VFW Patriot Pen for this year. The middle school American Legion Essays results came back as well. Shania Cornelius won first place and Sidney Salas received second place in the seventh and eighth grade class. In the sixth grade class, Aubrey Senska received second place and Kara Wormstadt received third place from Artesian. From the Letcher American Legion, Ellie Kisor won first place, Dayton Easton received second place, and Emmie Kisor received third place in the seventh and eighth grade class.

The Artesian First Lutheran ladies will have their annual Easter Bake Sale on Saturday, March 31st from 9:30-11:00 am at the Artesian Community Center.  It will be held in conjunction with the CIA Easter Egg Hunt which will begin at 10:00 am.  Coffee, lemonade and rolls will be served.  Regular and baby size quilts made by the First Lutheran Quilters will be available for sale.  Come and let the ladies do your Easter baking for you!!!

The HS track team will go to Woonsocket for practice today.  There will not be MS track today.

The baseball game with Chamberlain scheduled for tonight has been cancelled.

JO 16/17’s will practice at SC tonight at 7:00 and 14’s in Woony at 6:00.

There is a soccer parent meeting at 5:30 tonight followed by the first practice of the season!

Tasha Moody, a 2012 graduate, has asked to share this with our community.  What a wonderful gesture and easy to help with!
Freedom Bags -The March Hands and Feet opportunity through Life 96.5 http://life965.com/?p=583670&preview=true ) radio station is hosting an event to assemble Freedom Bags. Freedom Bags are for women who have been a subject of human trafficking. Each bag will include items that will make the woman feel whole again and will give them a start as they transition back into a normal lifestyle. If you feel so inclined to donate any items feel free to drop them off at Amy Moody’s house in Letcher or at the Sanborn Central School Office. The Woonsocket Community Theatre will present “Murder Takes the Stage” on Thursday, March 22, and Friday, March 23, at 7 p.m. both evenings, at the Woonsocket Community
Center. This is a fast-pace, exciting mystery thriller. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for grades 6 and under. Tickets are available at the door. The Post Prom committee will be operating the concession stand both nights serving barbeques, hot dogs, drinks and snacks.
