On Behalf of the SC Board of Education, it is my pleasure to announce that they have come to an agreement with Corey Flatten to become the new Superintendent/High School Principal of the district. This is for your information and will be made public soon. The process was long and difficult, but in the end, the Board was confident that this decision was in the best interest of the district moving forward. Mr. Flatten will assume this role beginning in June, fully in place as of July 1. It is my sincere hope that his leadership will allow you all to continue doing the great work you all do in all capacities within the district.
This week we recognize our fantastic teachers! They are the frontline troopers in a mission to motivate and educate the leaders of tomorrow. We appreciate you, and recognize your dedication to our students is one of a kind. We are thankful to have each and every one of you on our team! Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!

Friday, May 12th is a rescheduled JH meet from April in Bridgewater. Field events start at 12 and running events at 2:30. 2023 Huskies Invitational JH Track
Ledoux B, Westin W, Cole W, Carter E, Riley K, Layton Z, Kenzie U and Evie O are the JH athletes.
We have 2 teams that have dropped out but still have 6 teams, so we plan to have the meet but use a rolling schedule with eth field events starting at 12:00 noon.
So, when the field events are done, we are going to start the running events and keep on rolling. The schedule says 2;30 to start the running but running events may start earlier if field events are done early. PLEASE pass this info on to your athletes, coaches and parents.

State Senior Leadership Camp
South Dakota Farmers Union is excited to host their annual State Senior Leadership Camp in the Black Hills. This camp will be held from June 11-16, 2023 and is for youth grades 7-12. This opportunity allows kids to learn valuable leadership skills while having fun and developing relationships.
