We will still have regular scheduled classes for students not participating in golf, track or going to state FFA. High School students that are not attending please are required to be here and have regular scheduled classes.

The morning of April 26th Sanborn Central will have a pre school meet and greet for the 2024-2025 upcoming students. There will be no pre school for this year kids on that day.

The spring Concert is April 30^th at 6:30 PM

Monday, April 22nd in Alexandria the Hanson School will host the Eager Beaver JH Track Meet with field events starting at 1:00 and running events at 2:45. The bus will leave SC at 11:15

Due to the cancellation of the Howard Relays and the Greenway Relays this week, we have added the Miller track meet on Tuesday, April 23. Field events begin at 2:00 and running events at 3:00.

Whether you're looking to build strength, increase endurance, or fine-tune your skills, our gym is the perfect place to kickstart your day and elevate your game.

Here are the details: 📅 Days: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday 🕒 Time: 5:30 am - 7:00 am 📍 Location: Woonsocket gym 🏋️‍♂️ Focus: Football player-specific training

Scholarships:
This Friday, April 19^th the Frank and Faye (Druse) Peters scholarship is due to Ms. Amundson by 3:00 PM. Additionally, the Betty Maxwell and Wayne Walker Memorial Scholarship is due on Friday, April 19^th in the morning as the applications will be picked up sometime during the day on Friday.

Avera Academy:
The third Annual Avera Academy is taking place at Avera Queen of Peace in Mitchell.  This will be offered June 4-6, 2024 for current 8^th grade-Juniors. The youth will learn about various healthcare careers by exploring various departments at the hospital with hands-on-activities.  The youth will also go to Dakota Wesleyan and Mitchell Technical College and Avera Brady Long Term Care. If a student is interested, they can come to myself, Ms. Amundson, for the application. The application must be returned to me by April 26^th.  They will be limiting this experience to 8 youth in the surrounding area.

Call all kids 14 on up for a summer time opportunity to work at Old White's Drive-In. Complete a standard application for employment from a google search and e-mail it to Oldwhitesdrivein@gmail.com

Students will be leaving Woonsocket at 8:15 and SC at 8:15. The students must be in their OD when we leave.  We are working on their OD this week, for those that don't have a coat. We will return on Saturday, April 20 around noon.

On April 23rd, Mrs. Vermeulen will be taking 7th grade students to Mitchell. They will be participating in Camp Med activities. The goal of the session is to increase the number of students who are exposed to and have opportunities to enter healthcare careers.

The JH track team will not be attending the Friday meet in Bridgewater. They will not have practice either.
