Congratulations to Kenlie Fridley and Brady Larson for being selected as this year's scholarship award winners for the Ray Judy Memorial Scholarship!
The Ray Judy Memorial Scholarships are sponsored by Santel Communications. Mr. Judy had a vision of how neighbors could come together to own and build a telephone network that would connect rural South Dakota to the rest of the world. That was how the Sanborn telephone cooperative was formed, and now, 71 years later, Santel Communications is still doing that today with the best fiber-optic internet service available. Santel Communications honors Ray Judy’s memory as they award scholarships to the next generation of young adults who are ready to go out and change the world. This year, Santel Communications awarded 12 scholarships to high school seniors whose families are residential telephone and/or internet customers of Santel Communications Coop and are planning to attend a post-secondary school. This year, Kenlie Fridley and Brady Larson were awarded two of the Ray Judy Memorial scholarships in the amount of $750. Thank you Santel Communications for supporting our youth!
