Wednesday,
April 27th will be the final Sonshine Club meeting in Letcher as
well as any other groups that normally meet at the Letcher Church on
Wednesdays.
April 25-29 has been designated as Severe Weather Awareness Week
in South Dakota. It is the annual week where citizens are urged to start
preparing for the eventual severe weather that happens every spring and summer. For more information on how to be ready for

We are excited to announce that Dakota Players and students at SC will
be presenting “You Look Marvelous” on Saturday May 7th. Auditions will be held May 2nd

ACADEMICS
The SC
Foundation board members will be interviewing seniors for this year’s
GOAL/Believe Scholarship beginning at 8:15 tomorrow morning. The schedule is posted on Mrs. Danek’s
door. Please be here at least 5 minutes
prior.
Mrs. Miller adjusted April tutoring dates due to the Spring
Concert –no tutoring April 26th – MS/HS tutoring on April 28th.
Friday, April 29th is
our extra help day. We will run missing assignment reports for students
from Campus the morning of Wednesday, April 27th. We will
re-run the campus list Thursday, April 28th, and begin calling parents at 1:00. If
you are failing a class or have missing assignments you will need to be here at
8:00 am the morning of the 29th. Students - be sure to check out your portal and
get a head start on any missing assignments. Teachers be sure to use
the missing and turned in options in your grade book so the portal is
correct. Thank you!
Seniors
planning on being gone on Thursday, April 28th – must have parental
permission!
Senior spotlights have been added
to our Google Drive!!!! We have more to add, but for right now you can
read about, Logan Effling, Josh Feiner, Tom Hetland, Tamra Mann, Bailey Moody
and Dillon Moore. The spotlights can be accessed by going to our Google
Drive (Under Forms & Publications), Miscellaneous Folder, and then the 2016
Senior Spotlight Folder.
Awards
night is quickly approaching – May 9th. Seniors will bring Desserts, Juniors Salads,
Sophomores Main Dish, Freshman Main dish, 8th grade Salads, 7th
grade Desserts, and 6th grade Main Dishes. Staff may bring a salad or dessert.
Mrs. Johnson is
excited to announce a free ACT preparation course for anyone looking at taking
their ACT! Feel free to visit with her or find the details at

The soccer games that were cancelled on Monday night are
rescheduling in Woonsocket for Thurs, April 28 for the U10 and U12 teams.
U10 will play at 5:30 and 6:30. U12 will play at 7:30. U10
please be to the field at 5:15. U12 please be there at 7:00.
The gym is
closed April 27 thru May 1st (all day & day night) for bleacher
removal and installation.
We will now be attending the track meet in Miller on May 3rd instead of
the Don Diede Relays in Freeman.
