Tuesday, October 11th 2022-Orange Day


The VB ladies will be at Woonsocket today vs. Iroquois/Lake Preston.  There will not be a junior high game today and the "C" game will beginning at 5:15.

Tuesday 10/11 FB practice in Wessington Springs 4pm -630 pm

The 5/6 grade boys & girls b-ball game will be at Hitchcock today
Girls 6:00
Boys 7:00

The following students will be attending the All-State Choir Rehearsal Day at Dakota Wesleyan University today.
Cami Edwards, Aubrey Moody, Payton Uecker, Evan Easton, Tori Hoffman, Grant Edwards, Parker Ettswold, Hudson Fouberg, Miley Adams, and Temperance Salathe.
The bus will leave Woonsocket at 7:40 am and Sanborn Central at 7:55 am and will be returning at approximately 3:00 pm.  Students should bring music folders, water bottles, and money for lunch.

The Charter bus will depart at 11AM from SC, 11:15AM from Woony and 11:35AM from W. Springs.

The VB ladies will be at Kimball on Thursday starting at 4:00 with 7th, 8th, C, JV and V.

The bus will Woonsocket at 9:00 and pick up in Sanborn at 9:15.

Notes from Ms. Amundson
This Wednesday, October 12 the seniors will be taking the National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC). The students will meet in the Middle School Lab at 8:15 AM to begin testing.
The College Access Campaign has begun! This allows students to apply to most colleges in South Dakota for FREE! This campaign will go until November 30. 
The next ACT will be on Saturday, December 10. Make sure to register by November 4th to avoid late fees!
Thanks again to everyone who attended the FAFSA night! The FAFSA is open and you may apply at any time. Typically, the sooner the better! Upcoming Important Dates:

A representative from Southeast Technical College will be here on Wednesday, October 12 @12:30 pm to talk with prospective students.

A representative from Lake Area Technical College will be here on Tuesday October 25 @8:15 AM to talk with prospective students.
On Thursday, October 27 Tom Fridley will be coming to our school to talk with middle school students about drugs and alcohol. We have been using the "Too Good for Drugs" curriculum so far this year, which seeks to prevent teen drug and alcohol use.

Tristan Jensen, a senior at Woonsocket is conducting a volleyball camp for all Kindergarten to 6th grade girls. The camp will be taking place on November 5th, 2022 in Woonsocket. Kindergarten- 3rd grade will be from 8:00 am- 10:00 am. 4th grade- 6th grade will be from 10:00 am - 12:00. The cost is $30 (includes a T-shirt). The rest of the funds will be donated.  Sign-up sheets are due back to the office by October 13th.
