Congratulations to Mr. Kroeger and the band for a great
concert last night. A special thanks goes out to everyone who helped in any way
to make this a successful evening.

The Sanborn Central Christmas Vocal Concert date listed on last night’s
concert program was incorrect. The vocal concert is on Thursday, December 6,
not December 7 as listed.
Congratulations to the Quiz Bowl team for defeating
Wagner yesterday, 3-1. Their next competition will be against Tripp/Delmont
next week.
The Davis-Bahcall Scholars program, named for two great
physicists, is intended to spark an interest in and promote the exploration of
science among South Dakota students. Up to 12 students will be chosen to
participate in this five-week, all-expense paid summer-study program, which
will include time at the Sanford Underground Laboratory in Lead, SD, as well as
at Princeton University in New Jersey. Applications are due January 20, 2013.

The 7/8th boys will be participating in the Jewett Family
Scholarship Basketball Tournament in Flandreau on Saturday. They have games at
12:00 noon, 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
The girls are scheduled to have basketball practice on
Sunday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. in Woonsocket.

MONDAY:
Hannah Spelbring, Amberiah Smith and Tristen Wormstadt
will be participating in the Region Band Concert in Gregory on Monday.
Boys’ basketball practice starts on Monday. The boys will
practice at Woonsocket all week, and the girls at Sanborn Central.

REMINDERS:
Santa’s Last Stop Vendor Show will be held on Saturday,
December 1 at the Letcher Community Center and Fire Hall from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00
p.m. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be making a stop from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Send your kids to shop for family gifts with help from the Town ‘N Kountry Kids
4-H Club from 9:00 a.m. to noon. The Storla-Trinity Youth Group will have
concessions throughout the day. Vendors can contact Amanda Chada at mamchada@santel.net or 605-248-2407 to
secure a spot. The vendor fee will be $25/table and will go towards future
projects through the Letcher Community Development Foundation.
