If you are looking for something to do this weekend the JV VB girls would love your support at the Big Spike Tourney in Iroquois tomorrow (Saturday October 19th).  SCW will battle WS at 9:45 in the North Gym. 

Sanborn-Central character counts kick off week is October 22-25 starting with Tuesday  as “Pick a Pillar Day” and students will be asked to pick a pillar and wear the corresponding color: Trustworthiness-blue Respect-yellow, Responsibility-green Fairness-orange, Caring-red and Citizenship-purple.  

Wednesday-“Wish Upon a Star Wednesday” Who’s your favorite star?  Who do you admire?  Students will identify their own star.

Thursday: “Thanksgiving Thursday” Why wait until November.  Students will practice their manners-be thankful!  They will also practice whiting thank you notes/letters.

Friday: “Food Drive Friday” Tis the time of the year when the food banks are in need of donations.  Please send 1 box or can of non-perishable food.  You may send this item to school any day next week.  Your donations will be taken to the Sanborn County Food Bank.  A box will be available outside the office and donations from the public will also be accepted.


Oral interp participants - make sure to let Ms. Farrell-Poncelet know if you plan to attend the Brookings Invite on October 28. Also, you need to schedule a time (or times) to come in an work on your piece(s). A signup sheet will be outside Ms. Farrell-Poncelet's door.

Oct. 22 the volleyball match with Hitchcock/Tulare is in Hitchcock with a 5:15 start with junior high, followed by JV and varsity.

TDA's Volleyball game, which was postponed last week, is rescheduled for Saturday, Oct. 26 in Woonsocket.  There will only be JV and Varsity game contests starting with the JV at 1:00PM.

Orange Day
It is National School Lunch Week.  Today elementary students have invited parents to join them for lunch.  At this time, we would also like to thank Laura C, Mary U, and Tina L for providing us with smiles and great food all year long - You are greatly appreciated!
Good Luck to the Cross Country team at regions today.

It’s Wednesday – parents will be receiving notification for missing assignments this afternoon.  Eligibility (MS Updates) are due at noon tomorrow.

Mrs. Easton is leaving early today – at 1:53 5th grade will report to the MS Lab with Mrs. Vermeulen and 6th to SH with Vickie.  2:39 7th grade will report to SH with Mrs. Vermeulen and 8th to Vickie.

HS FB practices at Woonsocket today.

ATHLETICS
Yesterday the VB teams travelled to JVC.  The 7th grade lost 02, JV lost 1-2, and Varsity lost 2-3.  Leaders were: Kaylee white 22 digs, Taryn Ziebart 22 digs and 2 blocks, Brooke Doering 4 blocks and 14 kills, Trista White 2 blocks, Mariah Jost 17 kills, Morgan Schmiedt 18 assists, Ellie Von Eye 17 assists.

The JH and JV football teams finished their seasons Monday night.  The JH lost to MVP 6-0.  The JV finished their undefeated season with a 28-6 win over MVP.

All JH football players should wash their equipment and turn into Coach Flatten by Friday.
