HOMECOMING
Happy Birthday Mila Weber!! Sunday Cailie Roth and Jenavive Slavik will celebrate their special day.

Congratulations to our SPIRIT Winners from yesterday…..Mrs. Enfield was the staff winner.  Chloe Ruml, Katie Schmit, and Tryce Slykhuis from the HS; Kenlie Fridley and Bryce Larson from the MS, Aubrey Moody and Brody Uecker from the elementary.

Good Luck to the Blackhawks as they host Chamberlain at 7:00 tonight!  Don’t forget to come early and enjoy the FFA Tailgate….More Details below!!!!!!!

HOMECOMING  FRIDAY
Lunch will begin at 10:30 for the Pre-K students.  All other classes will be called to the lunch room when they are ready to be served.  Rough time frame is HS/MS Band (Including Alex S & Evan E) at 11:00, HS/MS students at 11:15.

Approximate bus departure times are 11:30 Marching Band, 11:20 PreK-5, 6-8th at 11:40.

Just a reminder – Marching Band students must ride the bus to the parade!!!!

The Booster Club will be providing lunch for SC Staff and Students today - Thank you!

Have you purchased your yard line for tonight’s game?   Choices are dwindling!!!!!  This is a great way to put some money in your pocket as well as helping the Juniors raise $$$$$$ for prom!!!!!   For $5, you get to choose a yard line and if the last play of the homecoming football game ends on YOUR yard line, you win half of the money. The Junior class has teamed up with Mother Nature and cancelled the root beer floats for this evening!!!!

ACADEMICS
The freshman class will be attending Freshman Impact on Monday, September 24th.

There will be no counseling Monday, September 24th.

Wednesday, September 26th a rep from Augie will be here at 11:45.

Friday, September 28th is extra help day.  As usual, we ask that teachers have everything posted by noon on Wednesday, September 26th.  Students will be provided a list of all missing assignments Wednesday afternoon.  Thursday, September 27th at noon lists will be updated.  Student/Parent notification will begin at 1:00 that their student will need to be at school from 8:00-11:00 on Friday the 28th due to missing assignment and/or failing grades. 
STUDENTS – GET YOUR WORK IN TO AVOIND COMING THE 28TH!!!!

The SC Booster Club is selling “Blackhawk Nation” yard signs. They are $20 each; all proceeds go to help fund the improvements to the athletic complex. The Town N Kountry Kids Red Group 4-H Club will be sponsoring a “Chicken Drop” fundraiser during the homecoming football game on Friday night.  Squares on a numbered board will be sold until full or through halftime, whichever comes first.  Then the board will be placed on the ground inside of a chicken pen and “Oprah the Chicken” will be placed inside the pen.  The first square/number that “Oprah” poops or “drops” on is the winner.  Payout will be 50% of the take.

Dave Williams from William's Musical and Office Equipment Repair out of Mitchell, SD will be in the Woonsocket music room from 6:30-7:30pm tonight during the volleyball game. He will be available to help you sign-up for his instrument rental plan and answer any other questions you may have.

Tomorrow the Spirit Club will be hosting a Pep Rally at 8:15. Everyone is invited so come one come all!!!!!!   We understand that it’s going to be a BLAST!!!!!!!  From the advisor:   SCW IDOL lip class lip sync contest/ pep rally! Community is invited to come watch or sign up to compete if you wish!!

Happy Birthday Keira Pollard and Mrs. Johnson!!!!

Congratulations to yesterday’s spirit winners – Landree Zoss, Leighton Zoss, Aubrey Kropp, Brady Larson, Zach Nelson, and Joche’ Ferguson.  Mr. McCain was originally chosen as the staff winner, until he confessed that he hadn’t dressed special for the day.  It was then decided that Mrs. Sevareid and Mrs. Wilson were the best dressed staff.

Parent notifications for missing assignments will be sent this afternoon.

Friday – September 21st is the homecoming parade in Woonsocket.  All band students are required to ride the band bus to and from Woonsocket.  We want to ensure that all band members are on time to line up.  The only exception will be a band student being picked up following the parade – must have written parental permission prior to 3:15 on Wednesday – September 19th.    All other HS students who have written parental permission (prior to 3:15 Wednesday, September 19th) may be dismissed at 11:00am.  HS students who do not have written excuses prior to 3:15 on Wednesday will be required to stay at SC until the 3:15 dismissal.
