Students will be leaving Woonsocket at 8:15 and SC at 8:15. The students must be in their OD when we leave. We are working on their OD this week, for those that don't have a coat. We will return on Saturday, April 20 around noon.

On April 23rd, Mrs. Vermeulen will be taking 7th grade students to Mitchell. They will be participating in Camp Med activities. The goal of the session is to increase the number of students who are exposed to and have opportunities to enter healthcare careers.
We will still have regular scheduled classes for students not participating in golf, track or going to state FFA. High School students that are not attending please are required to be here and have regular scheduled classes.
The morning of April 26th Sanborn Central will have a pre school meet and greet for the 2024-2025 upcoming students. There will be no pre school for this year kids on that day.

Scholarships:
This Friday, April 19th the Frank and Faye (Druse) Peters scholarship is due to Ms. Amundson by 3:00 PM. Additionally, the Betty Maxwell and Wayne Walker Memorial Scholarship is due on Friday, April 19th in the morning as the applications will be picked up sometime during the day on Friday.
The third Annual Avera Academy is taking place at Avera Queen of Peace in Mitchell. This will be offered June 4-6, 2024 for current 8th grade-Juniors. The youth will learn about various healthcare careers by exploring various departments at the hospital with hands-on-activities. The youth will also go to Dakota Wesleyan and Mitchell Technical College and Avera Brady Long Term Care. If a student is interested, they can come to myself, Ms. Amundson, for the application. The application must be returned to me by April 26th. They will be limiting this experience to 8 youth in the surrounding area.
