SANBORN CENTRAL E-NEWS

It’s Election Day at Sanborn Central. Thanks to the Middle School Student Council, Mr. Flatten, and the Senior Class for making this election a learning experience for everyone at Sanborn Central.

In basketball action yesterday, the 5/6th girls defeated Hitchcock-Tulare 16-9. Unfortunately, the boys lost their game.

From Mr. Gross: Yesterday the Sanborn Central FFA went to Mitchell Tech to participate in the District 4 Leadership Career Development Events (CDEs). We had two teams competing at the event, a Parliamentary Procedure team and a Jr. Parliamentary Procedure team. Both teams placed second in their events! This means that each team earns a trip to State Leadership CDEs in Pierre next month. The Parliamentary Procedure team consisted of Jessica Schmit, Hannah Spelbring, Haley Degen, Kelbi Dean, Ashley Schmit, Jarid Bechen, and Shane Nelson. The Junior Parliamentary Procedure team consisted of Logan Effling, Josh Feiner, Tyler Johnson, Tucker Kingsbury, Dillon Moore, Cordell Nicholson, and Clayton Sewall. In addition, Logan Effling participated in the Creed Speaking CDE and placed 7th in the district. Lastly, I'd like to congratulate our new District Officer Hannah Spelbring, she will be serving as our District 4 Reporter this year! I am very proud of how the FFA members did at this event. They definitely represented Sanborn Central well!

Correction to yesterday’s announcements – Regional Oral Interp Contest is Tuesday, November 13, not Wednesday.

The Tickled Pink store in Mitchell is looking for 2 girls from each of the area high schools to be models for their Prom Style Show in Mitchell on January 13. Girls who are chosen will receive 20% off their prom dress. If interested, please email blissbridalsd@gmail.com or call 605-990-3130.

If you’ve got an extra that you don’t use, please contact Sherri Stekl at stekl@santel.net.
