SANBORN CENTRAL E-NEWS
 
Ivy Senska reports that they had 3 horses show up at their house yesterday – 2 palominos and a black grey horse with a halter. The sheriff’s office has been contacted but no one has reported any missing horses yet. If you have any information about their owner, please contact Ivy at 605-495-4134 or 605-354-2481 (cell), or contact the Sanborn County Sheriff.

TODAY - TUESDAY:
 
Band students will be bussed over to Woonsocket this morning for concert practice.
 
The Sanborn Central Q107 Quiz Bowl team will be competing against Wagner today. The podcast will be available on Wednesday on www.q107radio.com.
 
Girls’ basketball practice for today has been moved to Sanborn Central.
 
There will be cheer practice at Woonsocket today at 3:45 p.m.
 
There will be a Lasagna Supper and Band Concert tonight at the Woonsocket School. Band parents (grades 7-12) will be serving a lasagna supper (lasagna, salad, bread sticks and dessert) from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The band concert (grades 7-12) will begin at 7:00 p.m. Free will donations will be accepted ($5 suggested per meal). Money raised will be used towards the purchase of new percussion equipment. Everyone in the community is invited to attend.

Band members will be wearing their white band polo shirts and jeans for the performance.

WEDNESDAY:
 
Wednesday is School Pride Day. Everyone should dress accordingly.
 
Grades 5-8 will have Declam on Wednesday morning starting at 8:30 a.m.
 
School will dismiss early on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. for Thanksgiving Break.
 
Girls have basketball practice at Woonsocket on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.
 
Boys will have Open Gym after school on Wednesday at Sanborn Central.
 
The 7/8th boys will have basketball practice after school on Wednesday at Sanborn Central. They are preparing to play in the Jewett Family Scholarship Basketball Tournament in Flandreau on Saturday when they will play at 12:00 noon, 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
 
There will be cheer practice at Sanborn Central on Wednesday at 3:45 p.m.

THURSDAY:

The girls are scheduled to have basketball practice on Sunday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. in Woonsocket.

MONDAY:
 
Hannah Spelbring, Amberiah Smith and Tristen Wormstadt will be participating in the Region Band Concert in Gregory on Monday.
 
Boys’ basketball practice starts on Monday. The boys will practice at Woonsocket all week, and the girls at Sanborn Central.
 
There will be cheer practice on Monday at 5:45 p.m. at Sanborn Central.

REMINDERS:
 
Santa’s Last Stop Vendor Show will be held on Saturday, December 1 at the Letcher Community Center and Fire Hall from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be making a stop from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Send your kids to shop for family gifts with help from the Town ‘N Kountry Kids 4-H Club from 9:00 a.m. to noon. The Storla-Trinity Youth Group will have concessions throughout the day. Vendors can contact Amanda Chada at mamchada@santel.net or 605-248-2407 to secure a spot. The vendor fee will be $25/table and will go towards future projects through the Letcher Community Development Foundation.
