The VB ladies ended their season last night vs Wagner with a score of 3-0.  Congrats to the ladies on a great season!

Today the following students will be gone for Oral Interp.  The bus will leave SC at 7:45.  Sidney S, Casady D, Isabella B, Temperance S, Miley A, Hudson F, Ian O, Cole W, Layton Z, Carter E, Riley K.

Congratulations to the following students selected to participate in the Region Junior High Music Festival in Platte held on November 15th:

Please bring $7 for lunch to school by Thursday, November 3rd.  Dress in concert attire.  Leave and return times will be announced soon.

The following HS students were selected to participate in the Region High School Music Festival in Gregory held on November 22nd:

High school boys basketball meeting in Woonsocket at 3:30 today.

High school football meeting in Woonsocket at 4:00 today. Meeting will last approx. a ½ hour.

The 7th/8^th girls will have practice today in Woonsocket and tomorrow at SC.

The next food pantry giveaway will take place on Wednesday, November 2nd at 4:30 until gone.  No Parking in the bank lot or on the highway please!  Come in from the south and west of the courthouse.  One box per family. Food Pantry-November

A reminder regarding Ellie Evans Sr. project.  She is conducting a Food Drive/ Kids Winter Accessories Drive. If you are interested in donating, she has a  boxes located at Sanborn Central, Letcher Community Church, and CorTrust Bank in Letcher.  This project ends Friday! She will also be doing an in person drive on Saturday, November 5^th from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the Letcher Community Center if you would like to drop off at that time!

Seventh and eighth grade girls will be participating in the Hanson Early Bird JH tournament on Saturday November 12^th at Hanson School. We have participated in this tournament for many years.  I know the Cancer Tournament will be the same day as is always the case.  We will be sure to have rides for any of the girls in case you are unable to attend the JH tourney. 
We will have 7/8 girls bb practice next week in preparation of the JH tourney at Hanson Nov. 12.  A letter is going home with the girls today.

College Access Campaign:

Seniors have until November 30 to fill out college applications for FREE at participating colleges here in South Dakota. Please take advantage of this opportunity! College applications are online and can be found on each college's website. Each college and major/program have different deadlines for admission, so make sure to submit your application on time. Once you have submitted a college application, make sure to let Ms. Amundson know what colleges you have applied to so she can send them your transcript.

Community

There will be a winter golf league meeting for High School students held at The Back 9 in Woonsocket this Sunday (Nov. 6) at 6PM.  Sign up and free golf will be offered to try out the golf simulators.  You can bring your own clubs or there are clubs for you to use.  The league will be starting Dec. 4 on Sunday early evenings through February. A 2-man best ball format will be used so players will need a partner which is open to both girls and boys.  The cost will be $75 per student for winter league and spots may be limited
