School pictures are here and will be going home with the kids today!  Picture retake day will take place Monday, September 13th between 1PM and 2PM.

Keep up the momentum Volleyball ladies.  Games will kick off today in Woonsocket starting with 7th grade followed by 8th, C, JH and Varsity.  If you are unable to attend tune into http://blackhawks.liveticket.tv/volleyball/

A JH & JV game will take place in Chamberlain. Leave times are 2:15 from SC. 2:25 Woony & 2:45 from Springs. Players will wear white jerseys. JH begins @ 4:30 & JV @ 6:00. Have players bring money for food if riding bus home.

Varsity will practice from 4:00-6:00 in Woony (was a morning practice on original schedule)

There will be a High School Student Council meeting tomorrow (Wednesday, September 8th) at lunch in Mrs. Wilson’s room.  This year's student council members are: Malorie M., Tryce S., Brighten H., Ellie E., Brady L, Kara W., Aubrey S., Morgan H. and Bryce L.

WWTS for Wednesday, September 8th has been cancelled.  It will resume on Wednesday, September 15th (3:45-5:30)

Varsity game in Forestburg @ 7PM vs Jim River (Scotland/Menno) Springs minibus will leave at 4:30. Black Jerseys will be worn.

Needed: 1 person to be on the chain gang for the football game on Sept. 10.

2021 Warbird Volleyball Tournament Information for Saturday, September 11th.

2021 Blackhawk Volleyball Schedule-With some leave times.

A junior high volleyball game is scheduled with Mt. Vernon/Plankinton on Oct. 4 at Woonsocket with a 4:30 start.  We will be playing either 3 or 4 matches as MVP has 26 girls and would like them to get some playing time.

The junior high volleyball girls are scheduled to be in Woonsocket that day.

The Sept 13th JV game vs Miller/Highmore-Harrold in Wessington Springs has been cancelled due to low numbers on MHH side. The junior high game is still on for that date. We tried to find another JV game but were unable to.

Dean of Students Announcement

The next ACT test is October 23, 2021. The deadline to register is September 19, 2021 and must be done online. The closest testing locations are Mitchell and Huron.

Juniors, seniors, and parents - if you have any issues registering for the ACT, please email me or stop by my office.

Juniors - ASVAB:

The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) test is scheduled for Wednesday, October 6 at 8:15 am in the middle school lab. All juniors are required to take this test and should come with their chromebooks fully charged. This test provides career information and determines whether you are qualified to join the military service. The ASVAB does not count towards a class grade. For more questions regarding this exam, please contact me.

The juniors and seniors will be attending the college and career fairs in Mitchell on Wednesday, September 22nd. We will be leaving at 8:15 am and should hopefully be back by around 1:00 pm.
