The odds were not in our favor last night as the VB ladies ended their season with a loss to CE3-1  Ladies hold your heads high as we are still Blackhawk Proud of our team!!!

Colman-Egan dropped the first set, but bounced back to take down Sanborn Central/Woonsocket in Region 4B volleyball action on Tuesday. Set scores were 19-25, 25-15, 25-8 and 25-14.
Sanborn Central/Woonsocket: Kaitlin Brueske and Trista White finished with eight and six kills, respectively. Morgan Schmiedt added 20 assists and 10 digs, while Cassidy Slykhuis added 13 digs. Kaylee White recorded 12 digs and two aces. The Blackhawks finish the season 11-13.

Eligibility will be ran Thursday, Nov. 7 at noon. Campus will generate missing assignment reports for parents Wednesday afternoon.

The Sanborn Central Booster Club will meet tonight at 7:00 pm in the commons at Sanborn Central.  We look forward to seeing there!  

Calling all family and community members for Community Day during National Education Week Wednesday, November 20th starting at 7:45 AM in the SC Cafeteria.  There will be free coffee or cider for our visitors.  coffee cake, yogurt, and juice/milk will be available for purchase.  Contact the school if you if you have any questions in regards to meal prices.  Feel free to stay and walk with the students after breakfast until 8:25AM.

Children' Theatre is "Calling All Wild Things."  During the week of Monday November 18th Dakota Players wants to guide the young talent of Sanborn Central through a fun-filled, motivating week of theatre magic!  X is for Zebra is designed with suitable parts for every age, skill and experience level involved.  Five days of intensive rehearsals will be held in which the lines, staging, songs and even dances will be learned, culminating in an unforgettable performance!  No experience or advanced preparation is needed. 
Auditions will be held at 3:30 on November 18 at Sanborn Central.
Practices will take place Nov 18-22 and a performance will take place Saturday November 23rd

Monday, November 11th the community is invited to join us for a Veteran's Day Program in the SC gym at 9:00 AM.

Anyone interested in being a Girls or Boys Basketball Cheerleader---there is a sign up sheet posted near the High School office.  Deadline to sign up is tomorrow



Due to some scheduling conflicts we had to move the Blackhawk football awards night for JH and HS to November 25th at Woonsocket at 7:00 pm.



Coach Flatten needs football equipment ASAP from the following players: Aiden Wormstadt, & Noah Dickson.



The JH and JV volleyball players need to turn in their uniforms. Sanborn can turn into Mrs. Moody or Mrs. Wilson.

The FFA Jackrabbit Invite in Brookings will take place tomorrow, the bus will leave Woonsocket at 7:30 am and SC at 7:45 am. Students need to wear their official dress and bring money for lunch. The bus will return to the schools around 4 pm.  Students that will be attending are: Ellie, Katie, Sam, Devyn, Aiden, Sidney, Tryce, Mason, Noah W., Averie, Brooke, Kenlie,  Brady, Michael, and Kaden

COMMUNITY
The Letcher American Legion will be hosting a potluck supper for all veterans and their families, at 6 PM Sunday 11-10-19 at the Letcher community center. A short program will take place after the meal. 

The Artesian American Legion Auxiliary invites you and your family to celebrate Veterans Day dinner. On Sunday November 10, 2019 at 12:00 noon at the Artesian Community Center. We will be serving turkey and all the trimmings. To have enough food prepared, for all who plan to attend, please RSVP to Laura Pearson by Monday November 4, 2019 at (605) – 999 – 2139.

The Junior & Senior Youth Groups at the Letcher Community Church are raising money to take to The Banquet a homeless shelter in Sioux Falls.
