Blue Day - Tutoring

Happy Birthday Sydney Richardson!

Good Luck to the JH FB team as they host MVP at 5:30 at SC.  The JV FB team travels to Mt. Vernon today for a 5:30 kick off.  Varsity FB practices at SC today.

   Change in plans........   4:30 pm – JH Game followed by JV game about 5:45 pm at Sanborn Central. 

·       HS will watch film and practice at 3:30 pm.   All HS players need to bring shoes for gym.     JV players need to bring Black jerseys and white jerseys.   

Good Luck to the VB teams as they travel to Howard today.  The bus will leave Woonsocket at 2:30.  The 7^th gals will serve first at 4:00 followed by the 8^th/JV/V

Good luck to the 5/6^th ball teams as they host JVC at SC tonight.  The girls will tip off at 6:00 followed by the boys at 7:00.

A representative from MTI will be here at 11:30 to visit with any interested junior or senior.

FFA Members – CrystalX Sales are due today.

On Wednesday, October 10th we will be taking the 8th - 12th grade students to Huron for a special presentation.  The students will be fortunate enough to hear a speaker who survived the Holocaust.  We will leave here around 9:10 or so and return around 11, give or take.  It should be an excellent experience. 

Cheer leading signup sheet is in the office for the basketball season.

ATHLETICS

Leave time for Region Cross Country is 9:30 from Woonsocket.  Start time in Gettysburg is 1:00 with Girls Varsity followed by Boys Varsity and Junior Varsity.

VOCAL

The following students will be attending the SDSU All-State Choral Preparation Day in Brookings on October 11th:  Lucy Nicholson, Dayton Easton, Harley Kneen, Leighton Tarbox, Tory Reinders, Alexis Kelly, Shania Cornelius, and Teagen Swearingen.  The bus will leave Woonsocket at 6:00 am and Sanborn Central at 6:15 am.  Students need to bring music folders, pencil, water, and lunch money.

BAND

Below is the itinerary for Friday’s marching competition in Volga, SD. Students will depart at 7:45am from Woonsocket and 8:00am from Sanborn Central. We should be back around 3pm.

HEALTH

It has been brought to our attention that several of our students have food allergies.  We are able to offer alternate foods, meals, drinks to meet your child’s needs if the proper documentation is provided.  Forms were sent home with students who indicated allergies on the medical information form.   If your child has allergies we would be willing to see what can be done to provide a healthy school lunch.  Feel free to fully complete (including the doctor signature) the form below and return to us.

SC Cares

It is time to dig out the winter coats and if you find any winter coats that no longer work for your family, consider donating them to the Sanborn Central Coat Drive. We will be collecting new and gently used coats, hats, mittens and boots starting Monday, October 8th until November 8th. A collection box will be available at Sanborn Central school.

NOTEWORTHY

As many of you know Mrs. Reimer, our 2^nd grade teacher, has been diagnosed with colon cancer. She is a wife, mom, grandma, sister, aunt, friend, one of our own, and so much more - she is so very special to many of us. We have created this shirt so we can all support her during this challenging time. By purchasing this shirt, we can show Jill just how much we love her!
