The following students will be attending the SDSU
All-State Choral Preparation Day in Brookings on October 11th: Lucy
Nicholson, Dayton Easton, Harley Kneen, Leighton Tarbox, Tory Reinders, Alexis
Kelly, Shania Cornelius, and Teagen Swearingen. The bus will leave
Woonsocket at 6:00 am and Sanborn Central at 6:15 am. Students need to
bring music folders, pencil, water, and lunch money.
Cheer

MS and EL Grades are due on report cards by Wednesday, October 17th.
Middle school students and families are invited to meet with Dr. Farney and Dr. Lubben to view the night sky on Wednesday, October 17 at 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm at the Sanborn Central Soccer field. Expect to get an up-close look at our moon, planets and distant galaxies with lunar and planetary telescopes. Dr. Farney and Dr. Lubben are a wealth information regarding astronomy and always bring other surprises for us to look at! EXTRA CREDIT for those that are able to attend!

Friday’s marching
competition in Volga, SD - Students will depart at 7:45am from Woonsocket and
8:00am from Sanborn Central. We should be back around 3pm. What to Bring:
Instrument, Long black socks, Clothes to wear under your uniform,
$7.00 (2 slices of pizza, apple, water, cookie) Below is the itinerary
for Friday’s marching competition in Volga, SD. Students will depart at 7:45am

sold through the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center and will go on sale at 1:00 pm

HEALTH
It has been
brought to our attention that several of our students have food
allergies. We are able to offer alternate foods, meals, drinks to meet
your child’s needs if the proper documentation is provided. Forms were
sent home with students who indicated allergies on the medical information
form. If your child has allergies we would be willing to see what
can be done to provide a healthy school lunch. Feel free to fully
complete (including the doctor signature) the form below and return to us.

Awareness Nights
October 11th
when we travel to White Lake for Volleyball they will be hosting a Think Pink
Night. Complete with a silent basket auction, specials at concession

Cares
It is time
to dig out the winter coats and if you find any winter coats that no longer
work for your family, consider donating them to the Sanborn Central Coat Drive.
We will be collecting new and gently used coats, hats, mittens and boots
starting Monday, October 8th until November 8th. A collection box will be
available at Sanborn Central school.
NOTEWORTHY
As
many of you know Mrs. Reimer, our 2nd grade teacher, has been diagnosed
with colon cancer. She is a wife, mom, grandma, sister, aunt, friend, one of
our own, and so much more - she is so very special to many of us. We have
created this shirt so we can all support her during this challenging time. By
purchasing this shirt, we can show Jill just how much we love her! Buy a shirt to support Jill's fight!
All funds raised will be paid directly to Jill Reimer for Helping support
