Plan Competition out of 92 entries! This will include a supper and
Governor Daugaard will handout awards. List of prizes: first place
prize of $1,500 cash, second place of $1,000 cash, and third place of $500
cash. Fourth through sixth place prizes will be cash awards in the amount of
$300 each place.

going to Kimball tomorrow: Lucy N, Cassidy S, Abby V, Madi M, Alexis K, Amber
S, Chloe D, Lily O, Sam D, Katie S, Catherine B, Cole M, Cayden S, Sawyer S,
Koby L, and Dayton E. The bus will leave Sanborn at
6:15 am and Woonsocket at 6:30 am. Students will be returning to
Woonsocket at approximately 2:30 pm and to Sanborn at approximately 2:45
pm.
Mrs. Danek would like to thank
the cast and crew of the one act play for thinking of her. As she said – “They sure know the key to my
heart…..the flowers were as beautiful as each of them.”
It’s that
time of year again, Valentine’s Day! Want to get your special someone (or
favorite teachers) a Valentine or mid-winter pick-me-up, but don’t know just
what to get? The juniors have a deal for you! They currently have 20 beautiful
roses bouquets (dozen roses per bouquet) for sale for $25 apiece. Bouquets will
be available on Tuesday and Wednesday (13th and 14th). These will go fast!

⧪Spring is just around
the corner which means thoughts are turning to the spring screenings for
pre-school age children in our district.
We offer pre-school (all day every day) for 4 year olds. We want to make sure that we don't miss any upcoming students. If you have a child 4 and under please contact Mary at 495-4183 or mary.ackman@k12.sd.us Spread the word to your family and neighbors please!

Are you interested in playing
baseball this spring? Wessington Springs has invited SC and Woonsocket
players to join them during the spring baseball season!!! If you are in
grades 7 to 12 (this year) and love the game, contact Coach Nathan Hainey at nathan.hainy@k12.sd.us as soon as possible.
The pairings for the DWU Classic on Saturday – February 10th
have been announced. Blackhawk guys will play Canistota at 7:00pm at the
Corn Palace.

The Woonsocket
Community Library Friends of the Library Book Sale will be happening tonight
from 12:00PM-8:00PM, in the Woonsocket Commons. A variety of different
books, from all genres, as well as some gently used magazines will be on
display and for sale. All items may be purchased with a free will
donation, and the funds raised will go toward continuing to support
the Woonsocket Community Library. Thank you for your support!
