REMINDERS:
The South Dakota Wildlife Federation (SDWF) will be
sponsoring their 50th Annual Youth Conservation Camp June 2 – 8 at Camp Bob
Marshall in the Black Hills. Boys and girls in 9th, 10th and 11th grades along
with students finishing the 8th grade are eligible. Busses will be running from
the eastern part of the state to transport campers. The main topics of the camp
will be conservation and environment issues, game management, forestry and
fisheries along with fishing and shooting sports. The camp is primarily a
learning camp but is also a fun camp for anyone who enjoys wildlife and the
outdoors. The program includes hands on instruction in small groups as well as
giving campers a choice of the subjects that interest them the most. The
Sanborn County Conservation District (SCCD) will reimburse the $300 camp fee to
any local students that attend, as long as they come to a board meeting after
the camp and give a report. For more information, visit www.sdwf.org or contact Sherri Hanson (SCCD
District Manager) at sherri.hanson@sd.nacdnet.net
or 605-796-4476 Ext.3. Below is a link to more information and a registration
form.
Coaches are needed for U6 and U8 soccer teams ASAP.
Coaches are needed before the practice schedules can be established. Parents,
you are more than welcome to coach if at all possible. Please contact Shelley
Schlicht at 605-354-4231 or shelley.schlicht@k12.sd.us
if you can help. It would be a shame to not have a team due to a lack of a
coach.
There are still some State B tourney t-shirts left and
they will be sold for $9.00. If interested, please contact Tracy Moody at tracy.moody@k12.sd.us.
Wessington Springs is hosting a Warwick Workouts
Basketball Clinic on Tuesday, March 26 and Monday, April 1 for boys and girls

individual workouts more productive, therefore enhancing their game. Cost is
$110.00. Each athlete receives a Warwick Workout t-shirt and shorts. For more
information about Warwick Workouts, visit www.warwickworkouts.com. To register

SchoolReach is the automated messaging system used by
Sanborn Central to contact parents and students with important and timely
information. Some patrons have reported missing and aborted calls. There are
now a couple of new ways to see if you’ve missed a SchoolReach call. The first
is a new SchoolReach app for your mobile device. The second is a toll-free
number you can call to hear the most recent message sent out, or all the
messages in the last 30 days. Both of these will only work for those on the
current SchoolReach contact list. Go to the SchoolReach page at www.sanborncentral.com for
instructions on both of these new items.
