SANBORN CENTRAL E-NEWS

Congratulations to Jessica Schmit for being picked as a winner for the Washington Youth Tour Contest sponsored by Central Electric Cooperative. She will be going with other area students on a 6 day Washington DC trip in June.

Coaches are needed for U6 and U8 soccer teams ASAP. Coaches are needed before the practice schedules can be established. Parents, you are more than welcome to coach if at all possible. Please contact Shelley Schlicht at 605-354-4231 or shelley.schlicht@k12.sd.us if you can help. It would be a shame to not have a team due to a lack of a coach.

There are still some State B tourney t-shirts left and they will be sold for $9.00. If interested, please contact Tracy Moody at tracy.moody@k12.sd.us.

Wessington Springs is hosting a Warwick Workouts Basketball Clinic on Tuesday, March 26 and Monday, April 1 for boys and girls in Grades 6-12. Cost is $110.00. Each athlete receives a Warwick Workout t-shirt and shorts. For more information about Warwick Workouts, visit www.warwickworkouts.com. To register for the clinic, visit the following link for a Registration Form or contact Ray Ginsbach in Wessington Springs at 605-539-9311 or ray.ginsbach@k12.sd.us.

Today’s Mystery Senior plans on going to SDSU for pre-optometry which makes sense since Mrs. Moody and anatomy (not WORMS) are listed as favorites. “The Lucky One” is her favorite movie while she enjoys spaghetti and garlic bread.  This senior will always remember state basketball as being a favorite, and basketball and cheerleading have been activities enjoyed during her time at SCHS. Who is this Mystery Senior? Find out in tomorrow’s Rebel e-News.

And to give you something new to watch for some entertainment, several other teachers will be conducting instead!

SchoolReach is the automated messaging system used by Sanborn Central to contact parents and students with important and timely information. Some patrons have reported missing and aborted calls. There are now a couple of new ways to see if you’ve missed a SchoolReach call. The first is a new SchoolReach app for your mobile device. The second is a toll-free number you can call to hear the most recent message sent out, or all the messages in the last 30 days. Both of these will only work for those on the current SchoolReach contact list. Go to the SchoolReach page at www.sanborncentral.com for instructions on both of these new items.

More information on Sanborn Central’s mobile app can be found at www.sanborncentral.com.
