Wednesday, January 26th (Orange Day)

Another wonderful day! Remember to “love today” PT worked her hard again. She did quite a bit of walking and played a little soccer in the hallway! Speech therapy gave her the okay to eat whatever she wanted (within reason) so for supper she enjoyed some alfredo, applesauce, mandarin oranges, and pretty much destroyed a cookie and cupcake for dessert.

Jacee and Pasyn got to come up separately and visit her for a bit again today. She was awake, alert, and everyone got a hug! It’s so hard to make them leave her bedside, but we’re so blessed that they have other places to call home while we travel these back roads.
It’s beyond crazy how fast life can change. As we are more than thankful for these moments, others aren’t as lucky. Please continue to pray for those fighting their own kind of battle. We wouldn’t be able to make this journey without all of your love, prayers, and support.

The school-wide Penny War is in full force and the office was hoppin' this morning with children excited to help the cause. Proceeds will go to the Bender family to assist with medical expenses. The winning group will receive a doughnut and juice party. Penny wars will end on Friday.

There is a Venmo account set up for donations for Jalyns medical expenses- @prayersforJalyn
