Another victory last night during VB Regions-25-13, 25-13, 25-24.  Teya Moody had 3 aces, Brooke Doering contributed with 12 kills, followed by Kenna Ochsner, and Trista White with 8 kills.  Teya Moody provided 24 assists, and Trista White gained 23 digs followed by Hannah Dickson with 17.
The ladies will be back in action vs. Wagner at 7PM tomorrow at Wagner, with the bus leaving SC at 3:45.Catch the action on Wagner's live stream at http://redraiders.live/volleyball/

There will be a Powerlifting meeting in Mr. Flatten's room at 1:40 today. Any 7-12 graders that are interested in participating should attend.

Today a college admissions counselor from South Dakota State University will be here to talk to juniors and seniors who are interested in learning more about SDSU and the programs offered.

There will not be tutoring on Thursday, November 4th

There will be a Booster Club Meeting today at 7:00 in the commons.  Anyone is welcome to attend.

If your student is related to someone who has served in the military, and you are willing to share their information, please send a picture of the veteran, the relationship to the student, and the name of the veteran to Megan.Wilson@k12.sd.us. If you submitted this information last year, there is no need to submit it again, we will be adding to the same slide show from last year.

Upcoming Announcements
Join us in honoring our veterans at a special Veterans Day Program on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 9:00 AM in the Sanborn Central gym. 

Student Council would like to invite any local veterans to please join us for this program. If you have any questions, please contact the school.  

The Dakota players Children's Theatre is back again presenting "The Missing Mountain Mystery."  Sanborn Central School District will hold auditions for the original Musical production on November 15th from 3:30-5:00.  All students in grades K-8 are eligible to audition.  No experience or advanced preparation is needed.  Five days of intensive rehearsals (3:30-5:30 and 6:00-8:00) will be held in which lines, staging, songs and even dances will be learned, culminating in an out-of-this-world performance on Saturday, November 20th.  Cast members called for both rehearsal sessions are asking to bring a sack lunch/dinner for the break.  Not all children will be called for every rehearsal.  The Dakota Players have required all student to WEAR MASKS during the audition and rehearsals.  Their actors are constantly traveling and need to take safety precautions.

The FB team is having the Blackhawk Football Awards Banquet on Monday, November 15th in the Woonsocket gym at 6:30pm. We will be having a potluck style feast for the athletes and families. 

 

We will celebrate the athletic achievements of JH & HS players on the fall season. Team awards and additional awards will be handed out. 

 

Please bring the following foods based on your athlete(s) grade. If you have more than one athlete, just choose the oldest athletes category. Coaches will supply plasticware & plates.

Due to the Sanborn Central children's theater the week of Nov. 15-19, the 5/6th girls and boys bb game vs JVC on Nov 16 in Woonsocket has been cancelled. 
Mr. Flatten will be in the weight room daily after school for anyone interested in lifting.

Dual credit sign up begins today - please meet with Miss Amundson to sign up ASAP to ensure you can get into the classes you would like to take.
Neal Cruse, a career advisor from the Department of Labor, will be coming on Friday, November 5 to Mr. Welch's afternoon classes to do some career classes. He will present some lessons on interviewing, filling out job applications, and creating resumes.

Seniors - The College Access Campaign started on Monday and will go until November 30. Please make sure to get your college applications completed by November 30th because they will be free!! All colleges have online applications that can be found on their websites. Please use this link to find the discount codes for each college.
