Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Winter Sports Picture Day is Dec. 9
Families may pre-order and pre-pay online for Winter Sports Portraits at this link through the
night before picture day. Simply click on your school event name (look for Winter Sports). You can combine online orders by entering each student’s name when prompted in the beginning.

Mark will photograph the players/students who hand him a paper form with payment or those who have an online order (he prints a list prior to the event).

Looking ahead-Friday, December 10th is Extra Help Day and only students with Missing Assignments and F's are required to attend.
Wednesday, December 22nd Sanborn Central will dismiss at 11:00 for the Christmas Break, we will not be serving lunch that day, and attendance is optional for MS and HS students.   School will not be in secession December 23rd through January 2nd.

Blue Day semester test will take place Monday, December 20th and orange day testing on Tuesday, December 21st.  High School Students that are not testing will have open campus, with the exception of students with an "F" in any subject.

On Tuesday, November 30 the College Access Campaign will end. Please take advantage of this opportunity to get your college applications filled out for FREE!

College/Career Planning
On Tuesday, November 30 an admissions counselor from Dakota State University (Madison, SD) will be here at 1:30 pm to talk to prospective junior and senior students.

On Wednesday, December 1 a U.S. army recruiter will be here at 1:30 pm to talk to junior and senior students who are interested in learning more about joining the Army.

Community 
The Town and Kountry Kids 4-H Blue Group is holding a hat and mitten drive. Please drop off hats and mittens at one of our locations before December 5th. We will be donating them to community members in need this winter.

Drop off locations include: Sanborn Central and Woonsocket schools, Country pumper, Letcher Community Church, CorTrust Bank Letcher

The Artesian Area WWTS Christmas Program will be held Wednesday Dec. 8th at 6:30 pm at the Artesian First Lutheran Church.  The title of the program is “The Animals’ Christmas, and focuses on the stable animals’ reaction to the birth of Jesus in “their stable”.  The youth will also sing and drum to  “The Little Drummer Boy”.  The highlight of the evening will be the celebration of Jesus’ birthday.  Lunch will be served by the church ladies following the program.  Those participating in the program are:  Paisley King, Kinsley Grassel, Kelly and Cade Wilson, Kiera, Hannah, and Ryder Pollard, Adalie and Nolan Enfield, Owen Austerman, Carlee Spelbring, Alexis and Andi Fridley, Ayden Kaiser, Malori Hoffman, Whitney and Kaylee Adams, Harper and Claire Moore, and Sullivan Licht.  Come and enjoy the true meaning Christmas!  JESUS IS REASON FOR THE SEASON!!
