It’s American Education Week! Today is administration day and the staff and students at Sanborn Central have the best! Mr. Siemsen, Mrs. Vermeulen, Gayle, Curtis, Clayton, Justin, Gary, and Emma. We greatly appreciate all the effort that you put in to make our school the best! Tuesday we will celebrate Support Staff followed by Community Day on Wednesday. Thursday, our teachers are recognized, and Friday the great students of SC.
Sanborn Central Students are NO longer required to wear masks during the Children's Theatre auditions and play November 15th-20th. An afternoon matinee will be held at 2:00 on Friday for SC students. Community members who attend Friday's matinee will be charged $6.00. Saturday's public performance will be at 6:30. Admission on Saturday is $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for students.
Tuesday, November 23rd and Monday, December 6th WWTS will take place in Artesian.
There will be a Basketball Cheerleader meeting on Monday, November 15th at 3:30 in the Woonsocket commons.
The FB team is having the Blackhawk Football Awards Banquet on Monday, November 15th in the Woonsocket gym at 6:30pm. We will be having a potluck style feast for the athletes and families.
We will celebrate the athletic achievements of JH & HS players on the fall season. Team awards and additional awards will be handed out.
Please bring the following foods based on your athlete(s) grade. If you have more than one athlete, just choose the oldest athletes category. Coaches will supply plasticware & plates.

Please turn in your volleyball uniforms no later than Monday, November 15th. This also includes the pink jerseys from dig pink night. There will also be a meeting for girls who plan on playing volleyball next year on Monday the 15th. I will meet with the Woonsocket girls at 11am in my room and the Sanborn girls at 11:45 in the middle school lab. Thanks, Coach Olsen.

Upcoming Announcements
The Dakota players Children's Theatre is back again presenting "The Missing Mountain Mystery." Sanborn Central School District will hold auditions for the original Musical production on November 15th from 3:30-5:00. All students in grades K-8 are eligible to audition. No experience or advanced preparation is needed. Five days of intensive rehearsals (3:30-5:30 and 6:00-8:00) will be held in which lines, staging, songs and even dances will be learned, culminating in an out-of-this-world performance on Saturday, November 20th. Cast members called for both rehearsal sessions are asking to bring a sack lunch/dinner for the break. Not all children will be called for every rehearsal.

From Woonsocket: Load at 6:35 am. Depart at 6:40 am.
Return approximately 5:00 pm.
Students should come dressed for the concert.

On Thursday, November 18 at 1:30 pm, Elizabeth (Libby) Flemming will be giving a presentation about the National Guards. Any junior or senior who is interested in learning more about the Guards is welcome to attend.
Mrs. Amundson did a growth mindset escape room with middle school the other week! We are happy to announce that all the students made it out of the mindset escape room in record time! Here is a picture of the 8th grade girls after they "escaped"!

Community
The Town and Kountry Kids 4-H Blue Group is holding a hat and mitten drive. Please drop off hats and mittens at one of our locations before December 5th. We will be donating them to community members in need this winter.
