Tuesday-October 5th-Orange Day

Today's announcements
Extra help day is Friday, October 8th.  Parents of students with missing assignments or failing grades will be notified the afternoon of Thursday, October 8th that the student will need to be in attendance from 8:00-11:00am on Friday.  Elementary parents, please contact your students teacher if you have questions regarding your child needing to attend.  Students will be given a list of missing assignments the afternoon of Wednesday, October 6th.  The list will be updated on Thursday afternoon prior to calls being made.

We are adjusting the football schedule due to a Saturday game. Today will be only about 45 minutes after school. The boys could use a day off before the playoff schedule kicks in.
Schedule for the week:
Tuesday: No JH or HS practice. All HS players will lift and run after school at their home school.

VB game at Sunshine Bible (C, JV, V).  The C game begins at 5:15 with the bus leaving from SC at 3:15.  The game will be livestreamed on Sunshine Bible's Live Facebook Page.

5th & 6th b-ball G & B Girls @ Woony Boys @ SC

Tutoring will be held this afternoon from 3:15-5:15 the cost will be $3 per hour.  If interested please call SC school (495-4183) before noon on the days your child will attend.  Please mark you calendars for Tuesday's and Thursday's if you are interested in these services.

Last call for cookie dough if anyone would be interested in purchasing a box.  The cost is $22 a box and we have the following: 1 box of Chocolate Chip, 3 boxes of Peanut Butter, 8 boxes of Snickerdoodle, 3 boxes of Oatmeal Raisin and 4 boxes of Candy Delight.  If interested let me or any of the volleyball players know. Wednesday: FB JH & HS practice @ Woony 4:00-6:00. Full pads for both.
Thursday: FB JH & HS practice @ Woony 4:00-6:00. Full pads for both.
Friday: FB JH & HS Practice @ Woony 4:00-5:45 JH will be full pads & HS in helmet & shoulder pads.

Saturday: Varsity game vs Rapid City Christian at Hart Ranch with a 2:00 MT kickoff. Charter bus will leave SC at 7:45 AM, pickup Woony at 8:00, and Springs at 8:15. We are planning on having lunch and stretching our legs in Kadoka with some sandwiches that some parents and Ryan Jensen are setting up.
Athletes should ride the bus to Rapid City. I understand that quite a few families are staying for the weekend in the Hills and want their sons to stay on Saturday, that is fine, just make sure to communicate with the coaches so we have an accurate count on the way back. It sounds like RCC is feeding us after the game but having your child bring some spending money isn't a bad idea.

Depart SC 6:25 am & Woon. 6:35 am.  Return approximately 5:00 pm.

October 7th SDSU (Brookings)
Depart Woon. 6:40 am & SC 6:50 am.  Return approximately 4:30 pm.

October 13th Armour HS
Depart SC 7:00 am & Woon. 7:10 am.  Return approximately 4:00 pm.

Bring music folders, water bottles, and money for lunch.  Lunch at Armour will be on site for $5.00.  Please give $5.00 to Mrs. Easton asap.

Monday Oct. 11th: JH & JV finish the season in Mt. Vernon vs MVP. Both games take place at 4:30 pm. They will utilize both fields for the games.

Juniors - ASVAB:
The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) test is scheduled for Wednesday, October 6 at 8:15 am in the middle school lab. All juniors are required to take this test and should come with their chromebooks fully charged. This test provides career information and determines whether you are qualified to join the military service. The ASVAB does not count towards a class grade. Educators Rising
All high school students (9th-12th grade) have the opportunity to attend the education career learning expo's available at USF or DWU. This is a FREE opportunity for students to explore a career in education.
