The Volleyball ladies battled hard last night but lost to Platte-Geddes in two matches with scores of (25-19) (25-19).  They will be back on the court tomorrow at 5:15 (court B.)

High School NHS members (Malorie, Tryce, Hannah, Dayton, Brighten, Mason, Noah and Ellie) there will be a meeting during lunch (11:00) today.

Any 7-12 grade students interested in joining oral interp, please sign up outside Ms. Farrell-Poncelet's room by Monday, August 30. Unsure, stop in and take a look at the options. Don't want to speak by yourself? Create a reader's theatre group of three to six or find a partner for a serious or humorous duet!

Any juniors interested in determining the fall fundraiser for prom, stop into Ms. Farrell-Poncelet's room Thursday morning at 8. Materials chosen will be handed out to the entire class at a later time.

The last day to drop a dual credit course differs from school to school.

Community

Support a long time bus driver from Sanborn Central with the purchase of a Gary's Support Squad shirt.  Gary was diagnosed with Papillary Thyroid Cancer in June of this year. He had surgery on July 6 to remove the thyroid and over 120 lymph nodes on both sides of his neck. He developed complications and the Thoracic duct was leaking Chyle lymphatic fluid into his neck and chest. He had 3 surgeries to repair this with the last and successful surgery being done at Mayo in Rochester. He will have to take the Iodine Radiation pills early September and will isolate for up to 14 days. After that he will have X-Beam radiation Monday - Friday, 40 minutes a day for 6 Weeks in Sioux Falls. He is currently going to physical therapy in Mitchell.
