Blue Day
Good luck to the Blackhawk Football team with their road
trip to Mt. Vernon/Plank today.
Seniors – The Josten’s rep will be here late morning for
your Senior Graduation Announcement and Cap & Gown orders. Sophomores – The Josten’s Ring Man will be
here for Class Ring Orders late morning/early afternoon.
There will be no JH VB practice today! Varsity ladies practice at SC today.
MS Updates have been uploaded to our Forms &
Publications Folder for next week.
MS Students – remember that if you were given a Homework
Club slip yesterday – it needs to be turned in by 8:30 Monday morning, or you
will stay after school Monday afternoon until 4:30.
MS/HS Students – If you have forgotten your log in
information or would like your own portal access to your grades, please see
Mary to set up an account.
JH FB Players - Due to a number of 7th/8th players having church after school on
Wednesdays starting next week, we will no longer have JH practice on Wednesdays.
Do you have plans for this Saturday, September 6th?
Want to have some fun and contribute to a worthwhile event? Visit the www.walkmitchell.org website and
get the scoop. There is a Tan-Dogs team then and you can join by clicking
on the Tan-Dog’s Team link in the right-hand column, then clicking
on "Join Team". If you prefer to donate to the team
instead of walking/running with us (at this point we’re all walkers!), there is
also a "Donate Now" button given here. Additional details
regarding start time and additional evening activities are found here
also. It’ll be a fun evening in support of a great cause! Please
join us in helping fund wishes for area kids!!
The
schedule for the JH/JV FB Jamboree in Mt. Vernon on Monday has been uploaded to
our Google Drive in the Athletics/FB folder https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxqWDgwTHOqeOFJRN0pjSG1pRFU/edit?usp=sharing
The
football picture day is on Tuesday, Sept. 9. The envelopes sent to
each school by Lifetouch to hand out to each player had the wrong
date-----Monday, Sept. 8 on them. Tuesday, Sept. 9 is the actual day.
Next week Thursday, September 11th, Dave
Williams will be in the Sanborn Central music room from 5pm to 6:30pm selling/
renting instruments. Please mark this down on your calendar if your student is
going to be in band.
There will be a public informational meeting September 10th
at the Letcher Community Center at 7:00 pm regarding the proposed opening of
Ditch 34 and how it will affect drainage in the Letcher area. Please plan on attending.
Blackhawk Athletics will be hosting “Be
Bold, Wear Gold” nights during the month of September for Childhood Cancer
Awareness Month! Come cheer on the
Blackhawks and wear GOLD at the
Volleyball Game September 11th and the Football Game September 26th to promote awareness! Gold paper “chain links” will be sold and
connected at both games. All proceeds will go towards the fight against
childhood cancer! More information can
be found at https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxqWDgwTHOqecllieWtKVnhfZW8/edit?usp=sharing
The list for concession stand workers this year has been
uploaded to our forms folder in the athletic tab. If you are unable to
work on your scheduled day, please find a replacement. Also, please notify
Tracy Moody at tracy.moody@k12.sd.us of
any changes so the schedule can be updated. Please try to be at the concession
stand at least 15 minutes before the start of the game. Workers are asked to
stay through all of the games. Every parent in grades 7-12 will be
on the schedule as the Booster Club contributes to all areas of our school, not
just athletics. Thank you for your help and support! https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxqWDgwTHOqeQXl6RlMtU3BOQ3c/edit?usp=sharing
