Blue Day
No school Thursday,
September 18th or Friday, September 19th.
Band students are
having practice in Woonsocket this morning.
They are returning around 10:45 today.
Ms. Wenzel will be leaving Sanborn Central about 11:30
today.
Staff may leave after busses today.
There will be confirmation at 3:40 at the Letcher Community
Church today. There will be no senior
youth at 6:15.
Cheer camp forms and money were due on
Monday the 22nd, but the deadline has been extended to Wednesday the 25th!
5th
grade band instrumental display, has been re-scheduled for Thursday Sep 25th at
Woonsocket 5pm-6:30pm
Parent Teacher Conferences for Thursday, September
18th have been cancelled. Parents feel free to e-mail, call, or set up an
appointment with staff members. Bonus points will be given to those who
have contacted a teacher in Middle School or High School.

Bridge: Visitation Wednesday, September 17th from 5pm to 8pm
at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with a prayer service at 7pm. Funeral
Thursday, September 18th at 10:30am at Sanborn Central School in Forestburg.
Burial will be at Westlawn Cemetery in Letcher, SD with lunch back at the
school following.
We would like everyone to either wear their TanDog team
shirts or school apparel. For example, if you're from Alexandria you can wear
your Hanson jerseys or attire. We would like to see the all of the people and
the different communities and lives Tanna has impacted.
The Blackhawk Cheerleaders are hosting a Cheer Camp for
students in grades PreK-5th with registration due back by September 22nd.

October 22nd the Sanborn County Nurses Office will hold
a flu shot clinic at Sanborn Central. More information will follow.
Blackhawk Athletics will be hosting “Be Bold, Wear Gold”
nights during the month of September for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month!
Come cheer on the Blackhawks and wear GOLD at the
Football Game September 26th to promote awareness! Gold paper “chain
links” will be sold and connected at both games. All proceeds will go towards
