The JV football team left Mt. Vernon with a couple of
victories yesterday. The Older team won
14-0 and the younger team won 20-6. Unfortunately
the JH team didn’t fare so well and suffered a loss.
The VB team travels to Wolsey/Wessington today for games
starting at 5:15 today – JH-JV-V. The team
also has pictures today and will need to be dismissed at 2:30 to go to
Woonsocket.
The soccer team travels to Groton for games today.

Juniors and Seniors are attending Fall Planning Day in
Mitchell today. They are expected to
return around 1:40.
Football practice is at Springs today.
FFA Members: If you would like to attend the Central
Region Land and Range Contest in Wessington Springs you must sign up in the Ag
Room today.
Cheer camp forms and money are due tomorrow.
Teachers – please keep your grades posted so that
students and parents are kept up to date.
We will due eligibility, MS Homework club, and MS Updates this
week. Everything is due at noon on
Thursday.
5th grade band instrumental display, has been
re-scheduled for Thursday, September 25th at Woonsocket 5pm-6:30pm

There will be a pre-game Tailgate Party in Springs Friday, September 26th from 5:30-7:30. Pork Sandwiches, Chips, Cookies, and pop for $5 sponsored by Jack Links with all proceeds going to Spartan Athletics

FFA Members: FFA Dues for this year will be $10 for
Freshmen and $20 for Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors. You dues must be
paid by Oct. 1. You will not be an official FFA member until your dues
have been paid. Your payment can be turned into Mr. Gross or Gayle.

Mitchell will once again be hosting manufacturing tours
on Saturday, October 4th from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. We encourage students and parents to
attend. Students will again have the opportunity to sign up for a
$500 scholarship to MTI at both the manufacturers tours. If your students
are attending MTI Career Tech Day tomorrow, September 23rd at the Davison
County 4-H grounds, the scholarship applications will be available there also. More information can be found in the Forms

MS/HS Students remind your parents to contact the
teachers so that you receive your bonus points before October 10th. Teachers will be available on October 10th,
