Good luck to the JH/JV Football teams as they host
Kimball/White Lake today at 4:30 at Sanborn Central.
Good luck to our soccer team as they travel to Sioux
Falls Christian today.
Good luck to our Volleyball teams as they host Hanson in
Woonsocket today. The games start at
4:00 with the schedule being JH/C/JV/V.
The varsity football team practices at SC today.
If you are attending the Land and
Range Judging School at Woonsocket Pony Hills tomorrow,
please read this announcement carefully.
- If you were formerly signed up to go and
are no longer attending for whatever reason
please inform me via email or in person.
- All members participating will either
need to either bring their own meal or $8 for the roast beef and mashed
potatoes meal served on site. I will not run anyone back to town for
food.
- Everyone dress to be outside. Be
sure to bring an extra pencil.
- Land-please remember to report directly
to Mr. Gross with your land judging tools to check them in. You are
not allowed to use a clipboard. Wear pants you are prepared to get dirt
on.
- Range-It is recommended that you bring a
clipboard.
The bus will leave S.C. at 8:25
a.m. and Woonsocket at 8:45 a.m. We will return to Woonsocket around 2:45
p.m. and S.C. around 3:00 p.m. If you are loading onto the bus at a
school other than the one you are enrolled at you must let Mr. Gross know beforehand.

in and visit with Mr. Gross today (SC). Students signed up for Woonsocket Land and
Range School on September 3rd are: Weston B, Trent K, Catherine B, Sarah
M, Jami H, Dylan S, Tyler J, Garrett D, Trevor O, and Maddie V
This
week the 5th grade will be trying out instruments. At the end of the week, I
will be sending home a packet of information about beginner band. Next week
Thurs Sep 11th, Dave Williams will be in the Sanborn Central music room from
5pm to 6:30pm selling/ renting instruments. Please mark this down on your calendar if your student is going to be in band.
Reminder:
There will be combined 8th-12th marching band rehearsal at Sanborn Central on
Friday from 8:30am to 10:45am.
Our lunchroom is in need of ice cream buckets – do you
have some at home?
The SC Booster club will be having a dues night during the Volleyball games on September 4th. Dues are $20 per family. This is a great way to support the many student activities at our school. Everyone is invited to join!
The recent wish granted to Tanna for their family trip to Hawaii was
truly spirit-raising. To show appreciation and support to the Mitchell
division of Make A Wish, a team (called Tan-Dog’s Team, of course!)
has been formed and will be participating in their Walk for Wishes walk &
run event to be held at Hitchcock Park in Mitchell on Saturday, September
6th. PLEASE JOIN OUR TEAM!! It’s very easy to
join by visiting the www.walkmitchell.org website
and then clicking on the Tan-Dog’s Team link in the right-hand column, then
clicking on "Join Team". If you prefer to donate to the
team instead of walking/running with us (at this point we’re all walkers!),
there is also a "Donate Now" button given here. Additional
details regarding start time and additional evening activities are found
here also. It’ll be a fun evening in support of a great cause!
