Middle School and High School Parent Survey

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Our school is gathering important parent feedback as part of the Career & Technical Education (CTE) Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment (CLNA). This survey helps us better understand what students and families need so we can continue improving our CTE courses, programs, and opportunities.

We want to hear from as many parents as possible—both middle school and high school—because your input helps guide decisions that directly impact our students’ education and future career pathways.

Important Notes:

  • All feedback must be submitted electronically.

  • If your family needs the survey in another language, translated versions will be made available similar to how we translate other school documents.

  • Please note that the survey cannot be completed on paper—only online responses will be accepted.

Your participation is greatly appreciated and helps us ensure our CTE programs support all students. Thank you for taking a few moments to share your insights!

Dear 11th Grade Parents and Guardians,
Today, all juniors will be taking the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) during the school day. Testing will take place in my room at the start of the day and will take up to two hours to complete.
The ASVAB is a career exploration assessment that measures students’ strengths and abilities in a variety of academic and technical areas. While it is often associated with military entrance qualification, it is also a valuable career planning tool for all students - helping them discover their strengths and connect them with potential career paths. For students who are interested in joining the military, the ASVAB score can be used for military entrance qualification and to determine benefits.
Please note that the ASVAB does not affect grades, GPA, or class standing, and results are not reported on transcripts.
At a later date following the exam, I will meet with students to review their individual results and explore how their skills and interests align with possible career options.
Thank you!
Mrs. Gassman
