The volleyball ladies have home court advantage tonight in Woony as they take on Tripp-Delmont-Armour at Woony. Here is tonight's order 7th 8th, JV, V. Games start at 4:30.
Pep Band will be entertaining us during the game.

Students should be there by 6:30 to ready to play at 7:00.  

HS will have practice at Woonsocket from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm today.
Friday, October 6 – game vs Lead/Deadwood at Deadwood

The game will be at 5:30pm mountain time. The bus will leave 30 minutes later starting at 9:30am from Sanborn. This is due to Homecoming scheduling conflict with Lead-Deadwood.

The 5/6th grade girls and boys b-ball players will be practicing @ SC today from 3:45-5:30, and Saturday the girls will practice at SC and the boys at Woony from 10-11:30. The bus is leaving SC at 9:30

Dig Pink Shirt orders are ready to view. The Dig Pink game will be at SC on Tuesday, October 24th starting at 4:00. The line-up starts with 7th grade followed by 8th, C, JH, and V.

Friday- Oct. 6------We will depart for Lead-Deadwood at 9AM from Sanborn Central, then to Woonsocket, and then to W. Springs.

Reminder that the volleyball game in Iroquois on Oct. 10 will begin at 5:00 with a C game, followed by JV and V.

There is no junior high on that night as Iroquois/Lake Preston has a middle school music festival

Notes from Ms. Amundson    
Many sophomores, juniors, and seniors have expressed interest in taking the district ACT that will be offered and administered here at the school, during the regular school day, on Tuesday, October 17th at 8:30 AM.

The cost to take the ACT is $51.75. Please send a check with your child to school next week written out to "Sanborn Central School" for $51.75. The school will then write a big check to ACT. Please have your student return the check to me by Friday, October 13.

In an effort to help ease text anxiety and help gain confidence in themselves, I have arranged ACT prep sessions for students to attend, which started today.

With it being an orange day today there weren't many seniors that attended the ACT prep session today. If seniors would like to take the ACT science practice test Monday morning at 7:45 AM, I would be happy to sit in the room with them and start the timer.

Pumpkin Patch

Olinger's will be offering wagon and horse rides at Swenson's Pumpkin Patch on Saturday, October 7th - 11am-4pm. Take a wagon ride and pick out your favorite pumpkin! Tickets can be bought at the entrance. 

The Letcher Community Church Bazaar & Supper is Sunday, October 15th from for 4-7PM. They are serving turkey and all the trimmings.

Preschool-Free
Take out meals $15

They will also have a bake sale and crafts.

A few of our area students from Sanborn/Jerauld County are attending National 4-H congress in Atlanta, Georgia in November. Students attending are Aubrey Senska, Teagen Moody, Tori Hoffman, Miley Adams, Delaney Zoss, Cannon Zoss, Raylee Fagerhaug and Abby Kolousek.

Come help them support their trip on October 21st at the Letcher Community Center from 5:30-8:30 with a free will donation supper. Fun filled night with silent and live auction items. Free popcorn and fun! A community Pheasant Opener Breakfast will also be served Sunday morning from 8:30-12:30 at Letcher Community Center. Bring your hunters!

Sophie Kelly and Letcher Junior Post 93 Legion Auxiliary are collecting gently used shoes for Veterans again this year. A collection box is located outside the office.

Little tiger cheer and dance camp is holding a camp Saturday, October 14th at the DWU/Avera Sports and Wellness Complex in Mitchell for grades K-5th grade.

The back 9 is hosting a High School Golf Winter League this year. It is $65 a person or $130 for a team and is in a best ball format for grades 8-12th.
