Athletics
Due to the gym floor in Woonsocket being worked on Jr. High Volleyball will not start until Monday, August 21st after school at Sanborn Central.
The Volleyball ladies will take the court on Tuesday, August 22nd for the Hanson Early Bird Tournament. Game one for the girls will be on Court B vs. Freeman at 6PM.

The Football boys will be back in action at Wessington Springs vs. MVP this Friday at 7PM.
Community
The Letcher Community Church will host a backpack blessing church service and potluck meal on Sunday, August 20th with a 10:00 potluck meal to follow. Please bring a dish to share. Students of all ages are welcome to bring their backpacks to church to receive a special blessing upon them!
Backpack Blessing
WWTS Will Begin August 30thArtesian Area WWTS (Walking With the Savior) will begin its 8th year on Wednesday, Aug. 30, at the Artesian First Lutheran Church. The group will meet each Wednesday from 3:50 to 5:30 until the first part of May. The Ten Commandments will be the Bible lesson focus. Each gathering will include games, singing, crafts, snacks, and faith building activities. Preschool age kids through 5th grade are signed up to attend. Currently our enrollment is full. Wanda Effling and Judy Wormstadt will be the coordinators again this year. Parents and community people will help each week also. With the help of God, we are looking forward to a great year.
