Practice tonight outside from 5:30-6:30 for everyone. I will have teams/schedule for Saturday. Uniforms will be given out Thursday.

Visit the  April 2023 Special Meeting Synopsis

NHS will be hosting a blood drive on Thursday, May 4th from 9:00-12:15 in the 4H building. If you are interesting in donating please contact Megan.Wilson@k12.sd.us.

Prom will start with couples pictures at 4:00 and end at supper time (6:00.) Please check with your child to see what time slot they signed up for.
Banquet -6pm
Doors will open for parents/community at 7:15pm
Grand March is at 8pm
Dance to follow 9-1145pm
After prom 11:45 (change clothes), load bus at 12am, return to school at 3am
Post Prom 2023 Information for both parents and students.
The dance will conclude around 11:45. Students will not be allowed to go to their cars following prom. They will need to have their bags/change of clothes brought into the locker room prior to Grand March. If students leave prom, they will not be allowed to attend the post prom party. Students will load the charter bus around 12:00. We will go to Village Bowl in Mitchell for our entertainment. We have some fun bowling activities for everyone to get involved in!

12:00—Load the bus
12:30ish—Arrive at Village Bowl
12:30—Food Provided – Pizza, Wings, Cookies
12:45-2:15ish – Bowling/Arcade games and give-aways
2:20 – Drawing for class prizes
2:30 – Load bus to return to Sanborn Central
3:00 – Arrive at SC – students get bags and attire from gym
Students are encouraged to wear neon colors for some added fun!

Today the HS track team will head to Howard for the Howard Tiger Relays beginning at 2PM. The bus will leave Woonsocket at 11:45 and Sanborn at 12:00.

Friday the HS track team heads to Mt. Vernon for the Greenway Relays beginning at 10:30AM. The bus will leave Sanborn at 8:45 and Woonsocket at 9AM.

Friday the JH track team will head to Bridgewater for their track meet with field events beginning at 12 and running events at 2:30. The bus will leave from Woonsocket at 10:45 and Sanborn at 11:00AM.

Wessington Springs is hosting a HS golf meet next Wednesday, April 19th.   10AM start. 
The Miller one next week on Friday was canceled.

Dear FFA parents,
It's that time of year again for our FFA banquet.  We are planning to have it on April 24 at 6pm.  We will be meeting at Sanborn Central gym, with supper at 6 followed by awards and new officers presented. I hope that you can make it this year, we did a great job in our CDE's this year.
Food order:
JR/SR - Main dish
Fresh/Soph - Dessert/ Salad
7th-8th - Dessert/Salad.


Community

April is the month of the military child and the VFW Post 2750 Auxiliary in Mitchell has teamed up with Logan Luxury Theaters and Community Sponsors to purchase tickets for our military kids in the area! Tickets (including a small pop and popcorn are for military kids under 18, including current SD National Guard, Active Duty and Veteran's children with a valid Military or VA ID. 
Pick up tickets starting Thursday, March 16th from 5:30-7:30PM and Saturday, March 18th from 12-3PM, then Mon-Fri 5:30-7:30PM and each Saturday, 12-3PM until Fri April 14th at the VFW Post 2750 in Mitchell or until gone.
REMEMBER-PURPLE UP Day in South Dakota is Friday, April 21st 2023, wear support of our military kids!
If you would like to sponsor tickets, monetary donations can be dropped off at the VFW Post 2750 12-8PM daily or call the VFW Auxiliary President, Ruth Ragels at 605-770-2277 to make arrangements. -Thank You Sponsors-

Our school year is quickly winding down. We have two Devoted Students planned to end our year. We will have Devoted Students on Monday, April 24th and Monday, May 8th!  We will meet in the Woonsocket commons at 6:00 with supper and a study provided.
