The volleyball game with Redfield on Tuesday is cancelled.  There will be volleyball practice in Woonsocket after school. 

There will be a GBB meeting at Woonsocket in Mr. Olsen's room at 2:15. A VB meeting will be right afterwards. We will hand out summer schedules. Mr. Olsen will bring the girls over from Sanborn and then take back to Sanborn.

Dear parents and students,
Woonsocket and Sanborn Central will be holding driver’s education classes together again this year. The instructor is Mitch Korbel. Your cost for the program will be $250 per student: payable to the Woonsocket School District upon registration. There are a limited number of spots and priority will be given to the oldest students ( from our districts –SC/W) who submit their form by the deadline. (April 28). The fee includes the classroom session and behind the wheel. (you will be contacted /informed if you DID NOT receive a place in the class based off of number of spaces available)

Dakota Dreams Exploration Summer Camps:

Mark Nelson Scholarship: Due Tuesday, April 11
Frank & Faye (Druse) Peters Scholarship: Due Wednesday, April 12
Mary Jane Austerman Memorial Scholarship: Due Wednesday, April 12
All of these scholarships are local scholarships and can be returned to Ms. Amundson when completed.
Dual Credit Registration:
Dual credit registration for this summer and fall 2023 has opened. Ms. Amundson will be meeting with students who are eligible to take dual credits this week to get registered.
Dual Credit Requirements:
Rising seniors must have an ACT score of 21 or higher, a GPA of 3.25 or higher, rank in the upper one-half of the class, OR receive a 3 or 4 on the English-Language Arts and Mathematics Smarter Balance tests.
Rising juniors must have a 3.5 or higher GPA, ACT score of 24 or higher, or rank in the upper one-third of the class.
ACT:The next ACT is Saturday, June 10. The deadline to register is Friday, May 5 to avoid late fees. Registration can be completed on act.org. Reminder that students who qualify for free or reduced lunches can take the ACT for FREE. See Ms. Amundson for your voucher code. Free ACT prep can be found on SDMyLife.com and students can use their K12 email and password to log in

Hello Everyone – attached is a letter with information about VFW teener baseball this summer. If you have not yet filled out the form sent out by Melissa Ettswold – the link is below – or you can respond to me with the details needed. We would appreciate hearing back from everyone by April 15 so we can get our teams and schedules finalized. If you did fill out the form there are a couple other pieces of information we need outlined in the letter.

April is the month of the military child and the VFW Post 2750 Auxiliary in Mitchell has teamed up with Logan Luxury Theaters and Community Sponsors to purchase tickets for our military kids in the area! Tickets (including a small pop and popcorn are for military kids under 18, including current SD National Guard, Active Duty and Veteran's children with a valid Military or VA ID. 
Pick up tickets starting Thursday, March 16th from 5:30-7:30PM and Saturday, March 18th from 12-3PM, then Mon-Fri 5:30-7:30PM and each Saturday, 12-3PM until Fri April 14th at the VFW Post 2750 in Mitchell or until gone.
REMEMBER-PURPLE UP Day in South Dakota is Friday, April 21st 2023, wear support of our military kids!
If you would like to sponsor tickets, monetary donations can be dropped off at the VFW Post 2750 12-8PM daily or call the VFW Auxiliary President, Ruth Ragels at 605-770-2277 to make arrangements. -Thank You Sponsors-

Our school year is quickly winding down. We have two Devoted Students planned to end our year. We will have Devoted Students on Monday, April 24th and Monday, May 8th!  We will meet in the Woonsocket commons at 6:00 with supper and a study provided.
