Today's announcements
The Sanborn Central 2nd grade class raised $204 for the Beadle County Humane Society with a bake sale.  Just another way to show that a small act of kindness can make a big difference!  Thanks to all who participated.

Best of luck to the JH, JV, and V golf teams.  Today they will travel to WS with a 12:00 tee off.

Today the JH High School track team will travel to the Don Diede Relays in Freeman.  The field events will begin at 1:00 and the running events at 3:00. The bus will leave SC at 10:30.  The JH track team will not practice.  Grant, Aubrey, and Tori will also be traveling with the HS.  Don Diede Relays

Tomorrow the PK-2nd grade will travel to The Children's Museum in Brookings.  The bus will board at 8:30.  On Wednesday, May 11th the 3-5th grade will go the the Washington Pavilion with the bus leaving at 8:15.

Awards night has been changed to Monday, May 9th at 6:00PM to coincide with Woonsocket.

In celebration of "National Pet Week" May 1st-7th the SC student council is sponsoring a photo contest featuring you favorite pet.  Please send a picture of your pet ONLY (no people in the photo) by Tuesday, May 5th.  The pictures will be displayed.  Pre-K-12th will vote and choose their favorite photo on Friday, May 7th.   https://5il.co/19jp0

Our SCW FFA Chapter Banquet will be Tuesday, May 17. It will be held in the gym at Sanborn Central starting at 6:30pm. We are very excited to celebrate with all of you everything that our chapter has done over the last year! At our event we will highlight various award winners, recap the year.
Our event will be potluck style. We have assigned dishes via grade - please see below to figure out what type of food to bring for the group!

Dual Credit Sign Up
Ms. Amundson has started meeting with students to sign up for dual credit courses for this summer and fall. Current sophomores and juniors, please find a time to meet with Ms. Amundson to sign up for dual credit courses if you would like to do so. Registration must be completed before summer break begins.
Introduction to Pharmacy Technician Program - Opportunity for Upcoming Seniors

DIAL Virtual School is now accepting applications for the Introduction to Pharmacy Technician Program for the 2022-2023 school year.  This course is for seniors graduating in 2023 only.  Please contact Ms. Amundson if interested in this opportunity.

Career Exploration Middle School Summer Camps

Middle school students will have an opportunity to participate in FREE, five-day career exploration camps this summer. Hosted on three South Dakota college campuses, the camps will allow incoming 7th and 8th grade students to experience at least 10 different career paths.

Students will be immersed in engaging, hands-on learning. Throughout the week, they will spend time on university and technical college campuses and visit area businesses and industry. By week’s end, campers will have a better understanding of themselves, their career interests, and how their K-12 education prepares them for professions.
