The SC/W Girls and Boys Basketball programs will be working together selling Krispy Kreme Donuts to raise funds for a new shooting gun for the Woonsocket Gym. Order forms will be handed out to next year's 9th-12th Graders. Donut forms will be due on May 7th and Donuts will be delivered on May 16th!
Woonsocket and SC will be holding a driver's education classes together again this year. The instructor is Mitch Korbel. The cost for the program is $250 per student payable to the Woonsocket School District. Classroom sessions will be Thursday, May 20th, Friday, May 21st, Monday, May 24th and Tuesday, May 25th all in Woonsocket from 8-3:30.

Two golf meets have been added to the schedule. JV/V April 15th at Wessington Springs, JH April 27th at Corsica.
Friday, April 16th winds down a busy track week with a JH meet in Howard at 1:30. The bus will depart at 12:15 and the HS will not have practice that day.

Interested Football Cheerleaders a sign up sheet is in the office. Be sure to sign up before Friday, and talk to coach Shelly (605)354-4231. A meeting will be held in Woonsocket Thursday, April 22nd at 11:00.
The junior high track meet from April 8th has been rescheduled for Saturday, April 24 beginning at 10 in the morning with field events and running events beginning at noon.
The Blackhawk boys basketball team will be conducting the Blackhawk Skills Academy on Thursday, May 20th and Friday, May 21st for girls and boys who will be in 2nd-8th grade next year. Forms will be going home today and will need to be returned by Friday, April 16th to Laura in the office.

The results are in and our CDE teams are back from Rapid. Congratulation to all of the students that competed for a spot at state and represented the SCW FFA Chapter!
The Agronomy team consisted of Harley Kneen, Xavier Baysinger, Brady Larson and Brooklyn Johnson. Jaycee Baruth was the alternate team member. The team placed 13th, and the individual placings were; Baysinger in 33rd, Kneen in 39th, Larson in 48th and Johnson in 78th. There were 25 teams and 96 individuals competing.
The Milk Quality Products team consisted of Madison Schmiedt, Megann Walz, Maolrie Mattke and Dilyn Brooks. Kailynn Egglseton was the alternate team member. The team placed 8th, and the individual placings were; Mattke in 13th, Schmiedt in 28th, Brooks in 29th, and Walz in 31st. There were 33 teams and 124 individuals competing.

Boys State applications are open to all juniors and seniors for the 2021 session! Boys State will be held May 31-June 4 on Northern State University's campus. Applications are due May 1. Please see Mrs. Foxley with questions about how to apply.
Any sophomores or juniors interested in attending the HOBY leadership seminar, please contact Mrs. Foxley. The seminar will be held virtually June 10-12, 2021.
