Today's the day for our track athletes to compete in some much needed meets! Think sunshine. Our JH athletes will be traveling to Bridgewater for the Huskie Invite with field events starting at 1:00 and the gun sounding for running events at 2:45. Huskies track schedule
The HS track team will be at Mt. Vernon for the Greenway Relays with a 1:30 start time.
The new leave time for HS is 11:00
Saturday, April 24 is a rescheduled meet for the JH track team at Mt. Vernon beginning at 10 in the morning. The jumping events, discus, and shotput will be first and the running events will follow at 12:00. The bus will leave SC at 8:30. MVP Track Schedule

The next blood drive will be held at the 4-H grounds Monday, May 10th from 9-12:30. There are still have several available time slots. If you would like to donate blood please e-mail Mrs. Wilson at megan.wilson@k12.sd.us or call the school at 605-495-4183.
The Sanborn Central spring concert will be held on Tuesday, April 27th at 7:00 pm. Please have all Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade (non-band) students meet in their classrooms at 6:45. All 6th through 12th grade non-band students need to be in their seats in the gym by 6:45. For tuning purposes, all band students should report to the band room at 6:45. We are looking forward to seeing everyone there!
Extra Help Day in next Friday, April 30th. Any students with missing assignments of an "F" will need to attend from 8:15-11:00.
Declaim will take place Tuesday, May 11th for 1st-4th Grade. It will be in the classroom without an audience. Your students teacher will let you know if declaim pieces will be recorded.
Awards night has been moved from Monday, May 3rd to Monday, May 10th.

The SC/W Girls and Boys Basketball programs will be working together selling Krispy Kreme Donuts to raise funds for a new shooting gun for the Woonsocket Gym. Order forms will be handed out to next year's 9th-12th Graders. Donut forms will be due on May 7th and Donuts will be delivered on May 16th!
FFA
The SCW FFA Chapter Banquet will be next Monday, April 26th. It will be held in the gym at Sanborn Central starting at 6:30pm. We are very excited to celebrate with all of you everything that our chapter has done over the last year amidst uncertain and challenging times! At our event we will highlight various award winners, recap the year, and hear from one of the 2020-2021 State FFA Officers.
Our event will be potluck style. We have assigned dishes via grade - please see below to figure out what type of food to bring for the group!

This event is required for all FFA members - please wear your Official FFA Dress to the banquet. We will be following the school's policy on masks.

To celebrate SD Week of Work, there will be a Career Panel at Sanborn Central today at 12:30 in the SC Gym.
Any sophomore or junior interested in attending the USD Summer Accounting Institute July 11-15, please see Mrs. Foxley! The deadline to register is May 21, 2021.
Juniors interested in applying for a $750 scholarship from Central Electric, please come see Mrs. Foxley.
Boys State applications are open to all juniors and seniors for the 2021 session! Boys State will be held May 31-June 4 on Northern State University's campus. Applications are due May 1. Please see Mrs. Foxley with questions about how to apply.
Any sophomores or juniors interested in attending the HOBY leadership seminar, please contact Mrs. Foxley. The seminar will be held virtually June 10-12, 2021.
The Build Dakota Scholarship is now open. Seniors attending a technical school, please contact Mrs. Foxley to see if your program is eligible for the full-ride scholarship!

The Sanborn County Town and Country Blue Group in collecting new or gently used eyeglasses. The collection box is located in the office at the school and will be available at the Spring Concert Tuesday, April 27th.
