The SC/W Girls and Boys Basketball programs will be working together selling Krispy Kreme Donuts to raise funds for a new shooting gun for the Woonsocket Gym. Order forms will be handed out to next year's 9th-12th Graders. Donut forms will be due on May 7th and Donuts will be delivered on May 16th!
Woonsocket and SC will be holding a driver's education classes together again this year. The instructor is Mitch Korbel. The cost for the program is $250 per student payable to the Woonsocket School District. Classroom sessions will be Thursday, May 20th, Friday, May 21st, Monday, May 24th and Tuesday, May 25th all in Woonsocket from 8-3:30.

Wessington Springs will not be having our JH-JV Golf meet on Tuesday, April 13. The wind and cold was brutal out there on Sunday afternoon and only going to be worse on Tuesday.
All teams are invited to come to Wessington Springs on Thursday, April 15 for a JH-JV-V meet starting at 12:00 pm. It will be cool, but the wind will not be as strong.
Please let Mr. Kolousek know if you would like to come on Thursday.

Friday, April 16th winds down a busy track week with a JH meet in Howard at 1:30. The bus will depart at 12:15 and the HS will not have practice that day.

The Blackhawk boys basketball team will be conducting the Blackhawk Skills Academy on Thursday, May 20th and Friday, May 21st for girls and boys who will be in 2nd-8th grade next year. Forms will be going home today and will need to be returned by Friday, April 16th to Laura in the office.

State Convention is reporting great news from Rapid City! Four of our seniors received their State FFA Degrees, the highest award one can attain at the state level. Congratulations Xavier Baysinger, Morgan Schmiedt, Cassidy Slykhuis and Harley Kneen!
To qualify for this degree, members must meet the following qualifications:
1) Having earned and productively invested at least $1,000, or worked at least 300 hours in excess of scheduled class time, or a combination thereof, in a Supervised Agricultural Experience program.
2) Demonstrated leadership ability by performing ten procedures of Parliamentary Law, giving a six-minute speech on an agriculture or FFA-related topic, and serving as an officer, committee chairperson, or participating member of a chapter committee.
3) Have completed at least 25 hours of community service.

Boys State applications are open to all juniors and seniors for the 2021 session! Boys State will be held May 31-June 4 on Northern State University's campus. Applications are due May 1. Please see Mrs. Foxley with questions about how to apply.
Any sophomores or juniors interested in attending the HOBY leadership seminar, please contact Mrs. Foxley. The seminar will be held virtually June 10-12, 2021.
