Report cards will be distributed Friday October 25th.

 Good luck to the VB ladies as they take on Hitchcock/Tulare  in Hitchcock with a 5:15 start this evening...junior high will start first followed by JV and varsity.  The bus will leave SC at 3:30
G/B 5/6 b-ball game at Woony vs. WS.  The girls kick off the events at 6:00 and the boys will follow at 7:00.

Today MTI admissions counselor will be here from 12:30-1 to talk with interested Jr/Sr

 We have officially kicked off character counts week!  Which color are you representing today: Trustworthiness-blue Respect-yellow, Responsibility-green Fairness-orange, Caring-red and Citizenship-purple.  

Wednesday-“Wish Upon a Star Wednesday” Who’s your favorite star?  Who do you admire?  Students will identify their own star.

Thursday: “Thanksgiving Thursday” Why wait until November.  Students will practice their manners-be thankful!  They will also practice whiting thank you notes/letters.

Friday: “Food Drive Friday” Tis the time of the year when the food banks are in need of donations.  Please send 1 box or can of non-perishable food.  You may send this item to school any day this week.  Your donations will be taken to the Sanborn County Food Bank.  A box will be available outside the office and donations from the public will also be accepted.

Oral interp participants - make sure to let Ms. Farrell-Poncelet know if you plan to attend the Brookings Invite on October 28. Also, you need to schedule a time (or times) to come in an work on your piece(s). A signup sheet will be outside Ms. Farrell-Poncelet's door.

Sports
The HS football players will have a team meeting on Wednesday at 3:45 pm at Woonsocket school. We ask all HS football players to be there.
JH football players are to work with the coaches at their school to get their equipment handed in. Wessington Springs JH players can bring their equipment on Tuesday to check in.
We will be having a football awards night in November. Not sure of date yet, but will let everyone know when we get a date scheduled.

TDA's Volleyball game will take place Saturday, Oct. 26 in Woonsocket.  There will only be JV and Varsity game contests starting with the JV at 1:00PM.

COMMUNITY
The Artesian American Legion Auxiliary invites you and your family to celebrate Veterans Day dinner. On Sunday November 10, 2019 at12:00 noon at the Artesian Community Center.
