Congratulations to Dayton Easton who was selected to attend the Augustana band festival November 8th and 9th in Sioux Falls.
The donation boxes are filling up for the Sanborn Co. food bank!! Thank you to all who donated items to help out. Character counts week has been a success, and citizenship, caring, fairness, respect, responsibility, and trustworthiness are all great morals to live by. Carry this week through all the weeks of your life and continue to make Sanborn Central an amazing atmosphere.

5/6 boys and girls b-ball will practice in Woony at 3:45-5

Tomorrow 5/6th boy’s b-ball tournament will take place in Corsica. SCW will play KWL at 9:00 in the Elem. Gym.

The FFA Halloween Carnival is this Saturday October 26th join in on the fun and festivities!
Each carnival game, craft and the haunted house require at least one ticket. Ticket prices are as follows: 20 tickets for $10 and 10 tickets for $5. Don't forget to bring your complimentary ticket paper in the day of the carnival for some free tickets! Can't wait to see you at the Sanborn Central Gym this Saturday, from 4-6 pm.

On October 28, Oral Interp Students will be leaving at 12:30 to head to Brookings. The following students will be gone that day: Shania Cornelius, Dana Schelske, Brock Edwards, Isabella Bitterman, Casady Dean, Jessie Krueger, Alexis Kelly, Leighton Tarbox, and Zach Nelson.

On November 6, we have district at Mitchell. The following students will be gone for the day for that: Isabella Bitterman, Leighton Tarbox, Noah Wormstadt, Mason Moody, Teya Moody, Brighton Hitchcock, Hannah Dickson, Tryce Slykhuis, Dana Schelske, Shania Cornelius, Sidney Salas, and Alexis Kelly.

Tuesday October 29th Juniors and Seniors will be in Woonsocket from 8-12 for a SD Farmers Union Presentation.  Miss Ronning will be with the Jr’s and Sr’s. 1st block sophomores please report to Vicki’s SH.


Thursday, October 31st the county nurse will be at the school to conduct health screenings.  Fifth girls 7th girls and 8th boys will have scoliosis testing.  Forms have been sent home with these specific grades.  Below is a copy of the form your child received for your reference.  If you prefer not to have your child screened for spine curvature, please contact the school at 495-4183.

The Iroquois 5/6th girls and boys basketball games originally scheduled on 10/28/19 will now be played on Tuesday, 11/12/19 in Woonsocket with Girls game at 6PM and Boys at 7PM.

COMMUNITY
The Artesian American Legion Auxiliary invites you and your family to celebrate Veterans Day dinner. On Sunday November 10, 2019 at12:00 noon at the Artesian Community Center. The Artesian CIA will be hosting a Trunk or Treat on Sunday, October 27 from 3:00-4:00pm in the Artesian Community Center parking lot.  All are welcome to come enjoy some fun and safe trunk or treating. If you are interested in decorating a trunk, come early to get set up and join in on the fun!

 The Halloween Party for the Artesian area WWTS youth will be Wednesday, Oct. 30th at the Artesian Lutheran Church from 3:45-5:30 pm.  All area youth ages K-6th grade are welcome to attend and encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes.  It will be an evening of Jack-O-Lantern pizza, creating fun spooky foods, games and a pumpkin Bible lesson.  Please come for the GOOD time.

 Woonsocket Trunk or Treat will take place Thursday, October 31st at the Woonsocket school parking lot/commons from 5-7. A meal will be served in the commons from 4:40-6:30PM and will be a tree will offering to go toward youth education at Spirit of Faith and St. Wilfrid’s Catholic Churches. Trunks are voluntary-Contact Bobby White 999-4529 or Sarah Jensen 350-4310 if you are interested in having a “trunk” for the event.

Saturday November 2nd the All State and Orchestra Concert will take place.  Tickets can be purchased through ticketmaster and the concert has a 7:00 start time.  Make us Blackhawk proud Lucy, Dayton, Alexis, and Harley!
