Good Luck to the students leaving for the Parkston track meet and FFA CDE in Howard today.

MS track will practice at SC today.

Soccer practice will start at 5:30 today with a meeting to be conducted before practice.

There will be a Booster Club meeting Wednesday, April 3rd at 8:00 in the commons.


Tomorrow MS/HS will listen to Amanda Radke in the gym at 9 am for her presentation on agricultural careers
She will then read her new book in the library starting at 10 am with PreK-2nd grade and 3-5th grade at 10:20 am.  Students will also be able to purchase a signed copy of the book the day of the reading.  Copies are for sale to the public - you may e-mail orders to jessica.ronning@k12.sd.us as well.

The following is a  schedule for the JH track meet in Mt. Vernon Thursday, April 4th with field events starting at 2:30.

The following students need to pay for their prom shirts ASAP: Cassidy S, Cayden S, Aiden W, Alex W, Cole M, and Jena S, Eric R, and Tator M.

Players needing to turn in basketball uniforms or pay for them are: Brady Larson, Cooper Greenway, Keaton Fridley, Cody Slykhuis, Sawyer Senska, Austin Schmit, and Alex Wormstadt. Feel free to bring them to the office if Mr. Olsen isn’t here.

Post prom is looking for ice cream buckets, please send to school is you have any available.

ACADEMICS
Sophomores and juniors - Dual Credit applications are now open for next fall. Applications for Woonsocket/Sanborn Central are due by May 1st in order to ensure the college has sufficient time to review applications prior to our school release.

The mandatory science testing window is April 1-May 3rd for grades 5,8, and 11th.  Please check with your child's teacher for specific dates for test administration.

Spring will come and so will pre-school screening!!!  If you are unsure if we have your little ones on our list, please call the school 495-4183 or an e-mail to mary.ackman@k12.sd.us.  We are looking for any one under the age of 4, so spread the word to family and friends please!!!!

The date has been set for Pre-K Screening - May 3rd.  Letters with time slots and more information will be sent out sometime after mid-April.  Please note if you have a pre-schooler this year they will not have school May 3rd.

SPORTS
Matt & Emily Henriksen will be conducting the Blackhawk Skills Academy on Wednesday, May 23rd and Thursday, May 24th.   for girls and boys who will be in 2nd-8th Grade next year. Forms have been handed out for these grades. The camp will be on Wednesday and Thursday May 22nd and 23rd.  These dates are updated from the original form

Community
Easter Bake Sale-Sponsored by the Artesian first Lutheran Ladies Saturday, April 20, from 9:30-11:00 at the Artesian Community Center.  Coffee, lemonade, and rolls will be served and will be help in conjunction with the CIA Easter egg hunt.


The Hitchcock-Tulare volleyball program is hosting a volleyball camp June 10 & 11,
2019 for girls entering grades 2-6. The camp will run from 1:00 p.m to 3:00 p.m 
June 10th and 11th at the Tulare Gym.


Help Wanted
The Sanborn County Conservation Office is now taking applications for Tree Crew, and fabric laying for the 2019 planting season. This is a lot of fun and a rewarding seasonal job. You must be 16 years of age to apply.
Applications must be turned in by April 9th. You may pick up an application at 203 W 7th St Suite 200 at the USDA Service Center Building in Woonsocket. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me of stop by.
