ATHLETICS
The boys
Blackhawks moved their record to 8-3 with a win over a strong Colman-Egan team
at the DSU Classic on Saturday. Helping were:
Trent-(triple-double) 11pts,12 reb, 10 ast,2 st Trevor—16
pts,1 reb, 3 ast, 1 st Trey—10 pts, 2 reb, 4 ast, 1 st
Logun—15 pts,1 ast, 1 st Garrett—1 st
Shaun—6 pts, 1 reb, 1 ast Wyatt—12 pts, 12 reb,2 blk
Noah—2 pts,2 reb We shot 28/54 FG for 52% and 8/12 FT for
67%. We outrebounded them 30-29 and had 19 assists on our 28
FG. Coach Olson’s comments: Colman-Egan is a top team and will make
a run for the state tourney. We started off a little rusty after a 10 day
layoff especially defensively but the boys responded to the challenge and
played a super 2nd half. We actually led by double figures but
they hit some long 3-pointers to keep it close. We had great balance with
5 players scoring double figures. It is a good start to a challenging week for
the Blackhawks. We are looking forward to a full week of games.
