Congratulations
to Sarah Morgan & Weston Baysinger for being selected as one of six
finalists for the South Dakota Bankers Foundation Business Plan Competition.
They will travel to Pierre on Feb. 8th and present their business, Critter
Catchers, to a board of judges. They are guaranteed $300 in winnings
and can win up to $1000 and a free IPad if they win the competition. Also, Quentin Schmidt & Aaron Stevens
were selected as alternates and won $100 for their business plan, A-A-Ron's
Auto Detail.
It’s
Blackhawk Night at the Huron Arena as both teams are playing for the
Championship!!! The Lady Blackhawks play
Highmore/Harrold at 6:00 and the Guys play Wolsey/Wessington at 7:30. If you are unable to make it to the arena –
you can watch/listen at KOKK. http://www.performance-radio.com/
The bus for both girls and boys will leave SC at 3:15 and
pick up Woony at 3:30pm on Thursday for the 281 Championship games!
Winterguard practices at Alpena today at 3:45.

Mrs.
Easton will be leaving at noon on Friday, January 20th. 6th chorus will have SH with Mr.
McCain at 1:53, 7th with Mrs. Farmer at 2:39, and 8th
with Mr. Flatten at 2:39.
It
is one-act play time again and Mrs. Danek is looking for a few items. We
need an old fashioned tea pot, a beret, a doctor's bag, and a smock that a
painter might wear. If you have any of these things and the play
could borrow them, she would appreciate it. It would be nice to have them

(1-19) in Wolsey. JH girls game starts at 5pm followed by C-girls
(approx. 6pm) and then JH boys (approx. 7pm).

THE
FRIENDS OF THE WOONSOCKET COMMUNITY LIBRARY are having a used book sale at the
Woonsocket School Commons on Tuesday, January 24th will run from 11:30 am to
8:00 pm in conjunction with Hanson vs. Sanborn Central Woonsocket basketball
games. There are lots of Children
through Adult hard cover and paperback books, some magazines, videos, audio and
1952, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 59 & 60 Woonsocket School Annuals. The purchase price is a monetary donation to
the Friends of the Library. If inclement weather should close school and
cancel games, the sale will take place on February 10th. Call Pat

Josh Mueller and Garrett Callahan (ex-SDSU great) our expanding
our basketball academy and have been allowed to use Mt. Vernon as a home base
in your area. Attached is a flyer for our team tryouts next Sunday (Jan 29th)
for grades 3-8 boys and girls. This could be a great opportunity for your
youth without having to drive all the way to Sioux Falls for something like
this. We have staff that include Jordan Miller (ex Mitchell and SMSU
great) Micheal Tviedt (ex-NDSU) and many other former high school and college

and what we are about. Please keep in consideration our spring and summer
clinics that we can bring to your school. Our schedule is filling up
