REBEL GIVING
Sanborn Central Coat Drive
Nearly
15% of Americans are currently living in poverty. For these families and
individuals, a warm coat is a budget extra they simply cannot afford. Sanborn
Central Education Association (SCEA) invites area residents to make a
difference in our neighbor’s lives by donating gently used coats of all
sizes and winter accessories! SCEA
is working to collect clean, gently used warm coats and winter accessories
(snowpants, boots, gloves, and hats) from now until
November 4th. The process is simple: you drop off your extra coat(s) in
the box at Sanborn Central and SCEA takes care of the rest. All
donated coats will be cleaned and made available for distribution to Sanborn
Central students in need
Fall is most definitely
here! Just a reminder that if you have Coburn Turkey or County Fair Stamps
we would gladly take them and donate turkeys to the Sanborn County Food
Pantry. Last year we were able to add 7 turkeys to the boxes due to
everyone’s generosity!
Do you have
some cancer related T-shirts taking up valuable space? Donate them to T-Hugs
and have them re-purposed into a warm, snuggly quilt for people taking cancer
treatment in Mitchell. Drop them off at either SC or Woonsocket School or
give them to Mary Friday at the Cancer Awareness Night! Thank you
everyone for your generosity thus far!
