Blue Day
Due to the end of the quarter on
Friday, October 14th, Mrs. Miller will have tutoring today, Tuesday,
and Thursday this week.

to the 5/6th G/B teams as they host JVC at SC today starting at 4:30
(time was changed just this morning) with the girls followed by boys. Players staying after school should report to
Mrs. R Moody’s room.
The JH/JV
Football teams host Kimball/White Lake in Springs today. The JH game starts at 4:30 followed by the
JV. Coach needs all players in the
Springs gym at 3:45. Players need to be
dismissed at 2:50 to dress.
The VB
teams travel to Freeman today with games starting at 5:00 – Bus leaves SC at
3:00. It’s C/JV/V.
Today is
the last day to sign up for basketball cheerleading.
Gone
tomorrow to the CBH Oral Interp contest are Samantha, Abby, Sawyer, Eric, and
Alex. Good Luck one and all!
ACADEMICS
A rep
from Augustana College will be here to visit with interested students on
Tuesday, October 11th at 11:45.
ATHLETICS
The VB
games tomorrow evening with JVC will start at 4:30 not 4:00!
The
Financial Aid Night scheduled for Monday, October 10th is in the
process of being re-scheduled due to VB games.

Thursday – October 13th is Dig Pink Night at
KWL! They will have silent auctions and concession stand specials!

MUSIC
The following students will be attending the SDSU All-State Chorus
prep day in Brookings on Thursday, October 13th: Breanne B, Madi M, Renee
F, Adriana S, Byron J, Cole M, Koby L, and Weston B.
HEALTH
Have you returned your flu shot form? Flu shot forms were sent home with elementary students.
Forms were placed on every middle school and high school locker last night.
Forms need to be returned by Thursday, October 13th. Flu shots
will be given on October 27th. Students – please make sure your
parents see these. Extra forms are available in the office.
JUNIORS
The Longest Yard", the juniors are
selling yard lines for the Blackhawk Football game on Thursday, Oct. 20th
vs. Hitchcock-Tulare at SC. For $10, you get a yard line. If the
last play of the first half ends on that yard line, (regardless of what
end) you will receive $100! The juniors will automatically get the 50
yard line but end zone through 49 are available. If the last play of the
half is a touchdown, the end zone will receive the cash, or if a player is
tackled at the 21 yard line as time expires, the person with the 21 yard line
wins, etc. (Extra Point/2 point conversions will not count as yard lines, but
as end zone). You can talk to a junior, or email Mrs. Susan
Farrell-Poncelet at susan.farrell-poncelet@k12.sd.us
to reserve a yard line. Also, the board will be at the volleyball game at
SC on Tuesday, the 11th.
Juniors are fundraising for prom! We are starting sales of
magazines and several other purchase options. Please talk to a junior if you

junior to sponsor. Type in junior's name and shop away. If you
