SANBORN CENTRAL E-NEWS

National 4-H Week is October 8-12, and the theme is “The Revolution of Responsibility”. Sanborn Central will be celebrating by wearing GREEN on Thursday.

From Band Director Mr. Kroeger: Congratulations to the Blackhawks Marching Band on a job well done this weekend at the Mitchell DWU parade!!! What started off to be a very cold and early morning for the band students, ended up being a great day for marching as the sun came out just before the parade started. People were amazed to hear the band's new sound and were wowed by the visuals added to the street show.

Last Friday at Wessington Springs’ homecoming game, the Blackhawks lost to Wolsey-Wessington 0-40. Offensively, Todd Stekl was 7 for 17 passing for 49 yards. Jarid Bechen was leading rusher with 28 yards. Defensively, Austin Messmer was leading tackler with 16 tackles and Jacob Fouberg had 13 tackles. Next game for Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central is this coming Friday, when they travel to Stickney to take on Corsica/Stickney for a 7:00 p.m. game.
